Damn man those timings SUCK! I'd get some UTT or something even if its just a single 256 meg stick for benching... those timings are killing you.

How many points would you say those timings are costing him?

    edit:
Also benching with win2k, should it be just a fresh install or should I slipstream SP4 into it? Anyone with experience with the two, does it make a difference in points?

i just ran sp4 installer. then dx8.1, GART, and gpu drivers. then programs.
    i reckon with 2-2-2 at 240mhz i could get 27k

He means, benching your one and only rig to points of no return.

Many people cruch some D20L here, so more than rig, especially one for 24/7 Stability and one for xtreme OCs, is not unheard of at all.

I've done it a few times, it's not hard for me to hose an OS...
I've been in the windows recovery console more times than I care to admit.

    @ reject,
You are going to RMA a cpu that you ruined?

939 and 200mhz extra on cpu makes a massive difference, slightly higher GPU clocks too, card was POS, wouldnt accept clock changes despite clean running.

They will not refund him after seeing the damaged cpu and deduce it was overclocked and died "unnaturally" too.

@Highland3r, comparing your score to isp's dual channel seems to make no differenece at all

The RMA and LOD ethical questions come up a lot. Personally I'm NO and YES respectively.

I don't actually think many cpu's just "die" naturally, either they are damaged, have water on them, are cooked etc etc etc. However, I have enough money to buy new if I break them, so I cannot be too critical of people who do not. However, conversely, if you cannot afford it then don't do it.

The arguements could go on and on I guess.

    Regards

    Andy

You do not have a legitimate RMA claim. Please refer to rule #12 of the Forum Policies.
