A64@12x225, 2700Mhz, Super Pi First timmer!

My First Super Pi Ever! (a64@2700Mhz) comments?

Ok, well i was playin with my 3800+ some more. Got it to 2.7Ghz, on 1.6v Now, i backed my memroy off, as i didnt want to worry about it craping out. 2x 512mb TCCD 1:1 225Mhz 2t-2.5-3-3-6 (i know) If it runs 2.7 for a wile ill put the memoy back to 1t 2-3-3-6 and see what happends...

Anyways this is my first run at superpi...how dose it look? What am i looking for?

nice run for first time. if you are running TCCd, though. i would not recommmend 3.0v on the RAM. TCCD likes to hit high FSB at low volts with slightly relaxed timings.

I'd shoot for 265-275 FSB with a 10x multi as a base point. if you have something real good like G. Skill LE, you should even be able to scale above 275.

    Like 2-3-3-6? 2.5-3-3-7?

leave 1t on at all time im assumming....

When it comes down to it...i play games...so a good fast OC that stabel is a good thing and the diffrence between 2.6Ghz 218MhzDDR 2-2-2-5 1t and 2.6Ghz 260Mhz DDR 2-3-3-7 1t is really nothing to me...

but its fun to benchmark and tweak with the best of them every now and then.

oh i see in your sig... you got a venice 3800+ if its 90nm... normal 3800+ newcastles are 130nm...

yea i really needed volts when i was going for my best super pi times but just didnt have the volts there to give to the ram.

Ohh crap..i didnt mean to put 90nm on there..i was reading the tread on the Vience core jsut before i edited that...

lol, ill edit it out, im running and old newcastle core.

Im not really going for the fastest time i can get, im just running it at the setting i find stabel for my gamming. I jsut tried 2.8Ghz but it was a no go.
2.6 i know is 100% stable, 2.7 is seeming more and mroe to run good, as ran thru the night last night with prime and a BFV Co-opp server running.

2.7 Is looking to be the sweet spot.

    You need some tweaking.

Get Codereds A64 tweaker and use his recommended BH5 settings.
