    ***Official nFORCE2 Bandwidth Thread!***

Since alot of us have nforce2 boards, and OPP mentioned that a new bandwidth thread should be started up, I thought I'd go ahead and get one goin.

Keep in mind, this is strictly for nforce2 based motherboards and just the sisoft sandra memory benchmark. And let's keep it in sync and dual channel (if you can). Feel free to list your mods, your bios, etc, so that we can all learn from each other

    ______________

I'll start it off by posting what I think will most likely be max FSB attainable with my A7N8X.

A quick overview of mods, 1.9v on the chipset, 3.12v on the memory, 1002.001 beta bios, cpu_fsb jumper @ 100, new battery, 85w peltier + chilled water on the core (-5 to -8C temps). My PSU is also vmodded and gives me 5.15V under load approximately (not sure if that affects the high clock.) Memory is 2 sticks of XMS3500 (winbond -5ns) in DC 100% sync.

    EDIT: Timings were 2.5-7-3-3 @ 240mhz. 2-6-2-2 @ 236mhz

HÂ¥percUbe: I'll have a guide up soon on how exactly I did everything on my site, Maximum OC. And as for rock solid, I could bench sandra, I could do most things in windows, I didn't try PCMark2002 but I will give that a shot eventually. Speaking of PCMark I scored 6464 @ 232 2-6-2-2.... was just testing.

Drozdov: Silly me I forgot to put it in... 2.5-7-3-3. 236mhz I can do 2-6-2-2 though. (I will edit my post w/ this info.)

    wellÃ:banana: Ciao
yes it's rock solid and 3dmarkable 233 dual channel, till 228 is quite easy

i'd better go with NF7 1.2 or 8RDA+ then A7N8X ,altought Sys got an impressive fsb with that

Kingston Hyperx 3500 2*256 MB/s cas2.5 6,2,2 vdd 1,98V vdimm 2.86V, this all with normal watercooled NB in warm room, no xtreme mothods, I'll try those soon

Like Spaceboy wrote POS Vdimm. I'm thinking of modding but can't decide if it's worth it, oh yeah Epox 8RDA here with 3117 bios, btw Spaceboy that helped a lot. With my previous latest bios, I got BSOD loading windows even at 230 in normal room temperature conditions

I think I'm gonna lower my resistance a smidget (slap on a smaller resistor rather) and try for some higher fsb... not sure if that'll do it but it's worth a shot.
