What the highest STABLE OC that runs 24/7?

I was wondering from everyone if anyone here knows of the highest stable overclock that's being used 24/7/365 nowadays.
I know Fugger has reached the 7.2 ghz barrier, but I'm talking about a system that has the highest working overclock and yet runs and OS, programs, games, etc.

Does anyone know what that is?

    Well, I kinda figured that.
I'd think the FX-55 OC'd would have the top speed. What I'm asking does anyone know what the highest stable speed is probably using that while OC'd and run 24/7?
For example, let's say the person uses this computer 24/7 and has it OC'd to 5+ghz (I'm just making this up as an example because I'm new to OC'ing).
I'm talking about a person using this as the highest known speed that is being stable now. Does anyone know what it is and high is that speed? How have the been able to achieve that speed and maintain it, keeping it stable for normal overclocked use?

I mean, with all due respect to Fugger, what good is it to overclock the sucker and get it to post when it only lasts for 30 seconds, or something like that? I understand that Fugger can get 7.2 ghz and eventually he might find a way to maintain it and keep it stable one day, and he's doing it for bragging rights and to see if it can be done. And that's cool.
But I'm talking about actual limits now.

    Anyone know?

It's about pushing things to the limit, what sorts out the Xtreme from the not-so-Xtreme.
A real Xtreme overclocker will overclock the hell out of anything as soon as they get their hands on it, just because they can and enjoy doing so.
For some it's about getting the most out of your money, for some it's for taking the #1 spot on that benchmark highscore, for some it's for impressing fellow Xtrememembers, for some it's a hobby, for some it's a lifestyle, for some it's their job.
The best thing about it is that once you start, you can't stop. You gotta keep on going to soar above the rest, bring your system to the absolute border of what it can do.

My system is used 24/7 for gaming, video encoding, etc. It also currently ranks #3 on the ORB in 3D03 and 3D05. The rig is run 24/7 with the FX 55 at 3.3Ghz, the HTT and Mem at 1:1 at 300mhz, and the 6800U x 2 in SLI at 490/1240. It's a real computer that is 100% self contained....not a sprawling bench table rig. CPU is phase change cooled with a Mach II and the GPUs are water cooled.

Although I am quite sure there are other talented folks that can do the same or better, I beleive I might be the poster child for the overclocked 24/7 system you speak of.

I gave up pure benching about 18 months ago, and began trying to build the fastest, most overclocked, yet stable gaming rigs out there. My overclocks and benchmarks are not record shattering, but they are some of the best you will see from a real 24/7 machine.

^^ yep your rig is the first that came to mind. I have just a machI on a newcastle and a single WC'd 6800GT for now. Might add a second later and was interested in your tubing size choice. I have 1/2 inch now but that looks to be a b1tch to bend if there were two.

There we go. That's what I was talking about mdzcpa. See, what I'm trying to get at is sure there is a WR for the highest OC'd system period, but I'd like to see a WR for the highest STABLE overclocking being used 24/7.
Not trying to sound :banana::banana::banana:y, but can anyone beat mdzcpa's rig setup?

My system is still socket A so lol no it won't even come close to his, but in regards to your question, it really depends on the amount of Vcore you have through your processors and how cool it is that will somewhat determine its life. The quality of RAM is a factor if you're running high FSB's or HTT with a 1:1 ratio with the CPU and also depends on how much voltage you have through that RAM, because obviously RAM isn't really made for 3.5v for 24/7 use that'll last a couple years. Same thing applies to video cards.

I like to keep my Vcore on the CPU below 1.9 for 24/7, so whatever speed it'll hit and be stable below that is what I run for 24/7 use although some people will say even 2v is fine as long as it's cool so it's personal pref to some degree.

So all in all, decent voltage, and good temps will ensure a longer life span IMO

I think 1/2 will be very cumbersome for SLI duty. Probably not worth the effort to cool two GPUs (seeing that your CPU is phase change cooled).

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I am sure someone will come along soon and bump me down a few notches. Right now there are only two scores better than me on the 03 and 05 ORB, and one set of scores is questionable, and the other is done by a pure benching rig (CPU City).

This won't last long though. Pure bench rigs will be coming a long soon enough and my score will plummet down the rankings. I cannot keep a self contained true PC competitive with a guy who has a room full of equipment and multi cascades on the CPU and GPUs.

Anyway, I know EXACTLY what you're referring to AGN Joe. I thinks it more fun to produce a highly overclocked but stable and working PC. But that's just my opinion.

Also, I might add, I mean no disrespect to the pure benchers. They have a lot of talent as well. Sometimes I even miss being a competitive bencher. But, I'm hooked on gaming and multimedia as much as I am on overclocking, so this balance works best for me

Just out of interest, is your Mach II a GT modded or stock?

Anyway, nice rig and congrats, I'm also a fan of 24/7 stable rigs as opposed to a 7Ghz suicide shot.

I know MDZCPA has me beat (I was in the top 10 of the ORB with this system in 3DMark 03/05 a month ago, now I am just on the first page ), but like him I game first, then bench second. My system is also fully contained and looks quite average (besides the Vapo LS) to be honest.

I don't even watercool my Cards, though I may soon though that would just be for benching sake

Mighty impressive dude, what kind of voltages, cooling, and temps do you have?

My mobile did 2.7GHz stable when I first bought it, and I went back to try and put it back at 2.7GHz for benching and it didn't want to be stable at a freakin KNOWN stable voltage from past tests

how much maintenance does the phase change add to your systems? I guess if you install right, very little to none, but i'd like to know!

here's a corollary to this question that I've been wanting to ask for a while now. What is the coldest p/c system for daily use out there? -60c? at what point is it impossible to condensation-proof things for 24/7?

Very little to none Like you said its all in being careful on the install. Also, keeping the Mach II free of dust inside is a key to long term reliability. Heat is the enemy.

Mine is a stock unit so -45 on the evap is my 24/7 temp. Careful installation and attention to condensation proofing is the key.
