    E0 has better thermal management, making it able to run cooler if I didn't remember wrong.

    the E0 has better thermals, I believe the TDP is lower as well. just a slightly cooler rev. of the Prescott.

    E0s have better temps yes but depending upon if you mean 775, E0s also have EM64T and Execute Disable bit in them that D0s do not.

    and also E0's overclock 200-300mhz higher on the same cooling from what I've seen.

    AFAIK, the E0's does not have EMT64, it's only the new N0 stepping (6x0 cpus) that have EMT64. The E0 however have Executable Disable bit which the D0's doesn't have.

    on the negative side - e0 have lower throttling temperature than earlier steppings.
    as for 64bitness - some lga e0 chips have 64bit but they're hard to get.
    and all e0 xeons have 64bit
