...thinking about getting some Twinmos RAM

I'm on a budget, and I recently heard about the dirt cheap twinmos ram that uses bh-5 chips. I have a couple questions:

    First off: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...218-062&depa=0

    Is that the correct RAM?

Second off: These babies wille hit atleast 210 @ 2-2-2-5 right?

Third off: Do they need to be burned in before they work to their full potential, and if so, should I just use memtest?

Fourth off: Do they require 3.3 volts going into them to work at 2-2-2-5?

I am just worried because I don't have a lot of money and I need something that is garunteed.

First off lately a lot of those have not been UTT and many have...kinda random
    these have a better chance.
    2. Probably but not guaranteed but they will need 3.0vdimm+
    3. Yes and sure

    OCZ w/UTTs
these are OCZs sticks with the same winbond ICs. I just ordered a pair myself and there is a thread hear called value VX. You may want to wait for some more feedbacks on them but at least they're in stock now and guaranteed UTT winbond chips

The chips that TwinMOS is using is CH-5. pretty much. Winbond UTT, but anyway...I'm going to guess from those reviews that it is UTT, but I know that the RAM in the link I posted is UTT. Check in the thread on TwinMOS RAM to confirm, since your link has cheaper RAM. 3.3v should get you alittle ways...depending on the sticks but you should get at least 210mhz 2-2-2-x timings. good luck

TMSP sticks are the ones with UTT, the rest by Twinmos are just random.

Ok, so if I get the speed premium ones I am garunteed utt?

EDIT: Is this basically the same thing? http://www.atacom.com/program/print_html_new.cgi?cart_id=8362731_24_111_24_152&P agecode=1|MEDD&Item_code=MEDD_OCZT_AG_C2&USER_ID=w ww

Basicly? No, it is the same thing.

Choose your favorite brand and buy it. I thought you only wanted a single stick, that's why I didn't mention the OCZ stuff.

No, I am planning on running dual channel.

Since I the twinmos ram is being referred to as random now, I was shown that OCZ ram. If I bought that OCZ ram, I'd be able to run it at 2-2-2-5 right?

With 3.5V, yes. Don't expect it to do 2-2-2 on 2.5V.

Well, the highest I can go with my nf7-s is 3.3 volts (with a sense mod), I am assuming that should be more than enough for 2-2-2-5 @ 220 fsb.

I can run my TwinMos Speed Premium at DDR500 @2-2-2-5 @ 3.5V (in dual channel) on my DFI Nf4 ultra-D. My TwinMos is UTT. Hope this will help.

I can do DDR510 2-2-2-5 @ 3.5v... DDR520 2-2-2-5 @ 3.6v with those Speed Premium with new BH-5. In stress these sticks get quite hot to the touch so 120mm fan with 7-10volts is needed.

Hopefully burning in those sticks help OC:ing them higher.

Speed Premiums that I got from newegg last week were BH-5, as were several other people's RAM. I think there is a very high liklihood that you will get the same if you get the speed premium. That is kind of a must because, like others already said, the other sticks are kind of hit and miss. Some get lucky, others don't.

I have some issues on my nf7 where I can't run 2-2-2 timings in dual channel. Each stick can run 2-2-2 by itself, but not with both in there. I think it is the sticks being double sided. With 256x2 sticks in there, I can run 2-2-2 fine.

But yea, newegg's twinmos speed premium is what you are looking for, and pretty cheap too.
