3.3V sense mod on TTGI 520... Do I NEED a fixed resistor?

I have a 10k put but no fixed resistor and I want to do the mod tonight. Is it possible without the fixed resistor? If so how do I solder it with just the VR?

I think you will need the fixed resistor for the mod to work properly, becasue the mod works by forming a 'voltage divider' using the fixed resistor and the variable resistor.

Your gonna need a fixed resistor...you pretty much need one on any PSU vsense mod. Atleast all the psu's ive modded the voltage wouldnt change without the fixed resistor.

You can get away without the fixed resistor, but your voltages will fluctuate like crazy. The fixed resistor helps stabilize the rail after modded.
