Go there...pic all the way at the bottom has the hotspots pointed out. I got the Northmole NB cooler from Microcool and it comes with a bunch of little microsinks and whatnot. You can buy them seperately. They are pretty nifty.

Damn, those are some impressive sinkage on those mosfets lol. Did you glue that screw to your BIOS chip for easy removal? Great freakin idea if so. lol I use a bent thick paperclip with electrical tape wrapped around it to pry it up out of the corner, but I like your idea better.

Looks like you also sanded down your NB eh?

was that 250FSB using 1gb of RAM in DC? because I absolutely cannot hit 250FSB with 1gb, but then again I need to do a voltage mod to get my chipset past 1.7v that might help some.

you never cooled the driver IC's for the mosfets Dumo, probably lost you some headroom

Yep, glue on screw, its easy to hotflash some extra chips
NB and SB was sanded flat, its helped to gain some FSB

You have some specific numbers on how much sinking different parts of NF7 helped you?

no specifics since mine didnt even get to run without sinks since I first go it, but I can tell you what i've done to mine and where i'm at for reference plus a few observations.

nF7 (non -s), Direct VIO mod, heatsinks on mosfets, driver IC's, heatsink on VTT (?) IC (IC just under bottom lever of dimm 3, gets extremely hot and will even be warm with heatsink installed and airflow).

    On the bench:
    0408 2500+M @ 11.5x225.4 2.03v (2592mhz)
    OCZ 600w Powerstream
    SLK-900U + duct + inverted 50cfm 80mm Sunon
    2x512 OCZ PC3200 VX @ 3.2-3.5v
    Ricky tweak
    - 62c max load S&M ~55c load Prime95
    - can run with no cooling over mosfet/driver IC heatsinks for extended periods before they reach 90c.

In the case (just put it in 15 minutes ago, power outage seems to have done in my a7n8x-dlx 2.0 finally).
    0408 2500+M 11.5x220 1.95v (2520mhz, to make sure its gonna play nice)
    Allied 450w with +5v enhanced (50a 5v/28a 3.3v/18a 12v)
    SLK-900U + duct + inverted 50cfm 80mm Sunon
    2x512 OCZ PC3200VX @ 3.45v (? need to measure, different PSU)
    Ricky tweak
    - 48c D2OL load (runs about 1 or 2c less than prime95 i've found)
    - mosfets and driver IC's remain cool so far with just "normal" case airflow (3x 120mm Delta EHE fans @ 5v).

I'll run some Prime95 and S&M on it later maybe, busy with email and may forget for a while

    EDIT

Bumped it back up to 11.5x225.4 2.03v and its running stable, 59c max load S&M.
