If you are overclocked, this is one of your errors. The sanity check makes sure each test lasts the amount of time its supposed to. If you complete the test faster or take a long time, this happens. Cheaters would often manipulate the time so instead of say 120fps in a game test, they get 150fps or any number they want. Nature is popular for cheating then they brag how fast their video cards overclocked when in fact they have a cheap, old card running stock

thanks for the reply. I'm not oc'ng my ultra cards, but I am oc'ng the mobo. I'm at 275 x10. So you think it just cannot be completed when overclocked? I thought it might have to deal w/ oc instability issue. I hope that is not it though.

timer insanity checks happen when you try to cheat on 3dmark2001se....

a few times, my computer ran at about double the speed its supposed to, so in benches, i would get around 500fps and it never gave me that error.

too bad it wasnt constant though, it would go really fast, then go back to normal, it was weird.

It happened to me with one screwed up system too, but it was a very obscure chipset and cpu, but this was from back in the P1 era when there were 5 different companies making chips for the socket 7 platform and you could find NB and SBs from 2 different manufactures on one board.

    Try reformatting.
