I got additional 15 Mhz on VX by going from nF2 to nF4 (mathematically, if going to nF3 instead, I believe, I would have gained 7.5 Mhz ?)Originally Posted by cantankerous

was 15mhz the max you were able to get extra from nf2 to nf4? What was your max 'memtest' stable on NF2 compared to now and at what voltage on both platforms? I ask because 15mhz won't even get me to 260 which would suck... to me anyhow. With so many getting 260-265 I want that too.
btw what are you getting in all the 3dmarks with your setup and your x800xl? I'm going to have very similar so am wondering what to expect.

No 3dmark2k1, as I was given a X800 instead of X800XL and I'm still waiting for the proper replacement. Run 3d2k3 to prove that I have a X800 and got around 8800 2k3 (it was with X800 (12pipes, 350/700) and stock 3200+ clocks). Search around, I think Sheik benched HIS IceQII X800XL recently, and he gave all the scores.
Back to the topic: to evaluate how "value" the "value VX" line is, we simply need results from the bravest people who buy these first Just as it is with the VX PC4000. We'll see whether speed binning for the true VX line and does leave enough hidden power to these value sticks to compete with the Twinmos UTT stuff.
Anyway, good news coming from OCZ almost each day

I will. Might be a couple days though. They wouldnt ship it out today because my mailing and billing addy was different. I had to call them talk to someone that barely spoke english and finally got it worked out. Hopefully it will be here early next week.
I currently have, BH-5, some older OCZ EL 3200 (CH-5 I believe) and TCCD.
Would I benifit getting some of this for a future A64 upgrade?
Not that I need it but considering the price and all.....just for the fun of it?

well BH-5 had problems with 2x512mb sometimes. We are hoping that this new UTT can run just as well as VX most of the time at a lower price. If not, we all wait for the new BH-5Originally Posted by Raybo

this is pretty incredible. Not only using the vx IC's in a "value" line, but then telling us about it! OCZ never ceases to impress me!

I have a feeling I already know the answer, but will these be covered under warranty upto 3.5v?
it sure took them a while to admit it though but now i love them, and will surely either buy the value vx, or the pc4000vx, or bOTH!Originally Posted by LikwidKool

what max voltage does the warranty cover?
SDX - I dont know about using these on a Asrock motherboard with the VIA PT880 chipset , as they require some extra voltage to hit 2-2-2 , but we will be glad to help you out should you run into any issues
As far as the warranty spec on the voltage , its the same as the normal value products , but we tend to be pretty helpfull to those who are honest about what they have done to the units :-)
If your in doubt at all you might want to stick with the 3200 or 4000 VX as it is a sure thing , these value products more of a gamble.
I might note that we do expect VX3200 pricing to start dropping also to make room for the VX 4000.
Note: ( the reduction in hand testing and so on are what allow us to produce the value products so cheaply )

where can i get these in the uk?
i going to be buying some more twinmoss utt regular on monday and woudl liek to buy some of this stuff as well for testing
cheers
AN OPEN MIND, WITH A CLOSED FIST.
So what`s the max voltage without losing warranty? 2.6V? 2.8?Originally Posted by ryanpgroovy
Specs say 3-4-4 @2.6V right?
So the lifetime warranty would`t help too much.
Are they using the same PCB as the normal VX?
I`m thinking about buying 2 pairs and keep the better one but i definitly need some benchies first.
Do they need a HS to survive 3.3V?
no I think HS are just for show, you might want some sort of fan blowing on them for sure though.Originally Posted by Ashe

being that its a value product I think the warrany only covers the stock speed/timings and the voltage +/- 5%
That being said I am sure you will find our warranty better than other companies in this price class
as I said before , if in doubt get the PC-3200 VX based on the same chips its not only tested by hand far above its spec , but the warranty covers pretty extreme overvolting
