My speedo goes to 85, and I pegged it so hard it broke.

My truck got real unstable, tho, so I backed right off. Started dancing all over the place, bobbing, pitching, weaving, you name it. So it wasn't for long, maybe 10 seconds.

Mine hasnt been running so good. I got it running better, but got up to 84MPH (speedo is off, did the math...), but then it pooped out.

Fastest I've gone is 185mph on an R1. I just keep it to the track now!

Oh ya I went like 505MPH once in a 747! I ran up the aisle so was going even faster then other ppl in the plane!

Mine would gladly go faster. If I had a good drafting buddy and didn't care about burning through my entire 18 gallon tank in about 30 minutes, I could get it up to 130-ish. On it's own, with no draft and The Stig driving, I could see it maybe hitting 105 if the intake air is dense enough. The suspension and steering is so old, worn and floppy, however, that it scares the piss out of me.

:O I hit the brakes and it threatened to do an endo! Back end got REAL light. I had to let the engine whoa it down.

Hit 182mph going to the track located north of Chicago in a 1998 Corvette. Also hit 160mph in a BMW 335i on the Autobahn when stationed in Germany. Good times!

My grandmas (yes grannies) 1968 GTO went pretty fast. Can't say how fast because the speedometer topped out at 140 or 160 (if I remember, that was 35 or so years ago). The car was still accelerating though. My stepfather was a Ford salesman in the 60's so I,ve been in some pretty fast Mustangs, Fairlanes , Panteras and even Vettes. The car that felt the fastest, to me, was the 1967 Vette.

Approximately 150mph in the quarter mile at Gainesville Int'l Raceway making my qualifying passes for my Super Comp license. 700 bhp. Awesome.

Edit: I finally did the math off my best ET slip, it was 154.875 mph.

How many headlights did it have? That will tell you, 4 for a 69, 2 for a 70 with vents where the headlights went.
