I'm not sure of all of the specifications so don't ask me. I'm not a big car guy I just love driving everyone elses ride.

Edit: There's about a...7mile stretch of straight road here in Texas. Called Fannet Rd. That's where the speed was reached

I hit 280 Km/hr in a Porsche 928 GT on the the German Autobahn outside Heilbronn a few years ago. The road is pretty straight there and there wasn't too much other traffic.

down hill in a plymouth breeze. in a 35mph zone, almost rear ended a cop

there was a blind spot as i came up over the hill on the other side. was still going about 70 when i came up the hill and the cop was right on the other side. put on the brakes (hard) and slowed down in time.

If they offered the Si in a 6 speed auto package I would have deffinetly waited a bit for it to come out and the price gouging to stop.

The Speed Limit was 65 as it is on most "FreeWays" in Los Angeles, the exception being the 101 going into HollyWood where it is 55mph. And let me tell you, they give alot of tickets in that 3 mile sretch of 55mph zone.

I was going to see my GF back in 1975, they'd just opened a new section of RT95 in Danvers,Mass and the road was perfect. It was a Sat nite and I decided to see what the car would do. Hit 115mph in 2nd gear, then buried the 140mph speedometer to the stops. Went under a bridge and sitting behind the bridge was a Mass state trooper. Had 1/4 tank of gas so decided that it might be smart to stop. After maybe a mile I got it down to a stop and maybe 30 second later the trooper pulled up. Now mass state troopers back then were well trained and ALWAYS polite! He looks at me and says:" What the F do you have in this thing? I got you at 152.6MPH" I'm sitting there contemplating my future in Walpole State Prision and I say:" It's stock" He looks at me and calls me a liar. I tell him" it's an old state police car"
It was a 1969 ford custom with a 428 ci,auto and 3:00 rear end. I'd just changed out the factory autolite 4 bbl for a 800 dual feed dual pump holley and an excel ignition. The car had 195,000 miles on it.
End of story, he wrote me for doing 76 in a 55 zone and it cost me $50.00
Built a monster V8 Chev vega in the late 70's, 480HP at the flywheel, 2550lbs
Dumped $10,000 into it in parts back then. Would do 11.5's in the 1/4 mile but at near 130mph the ass end would start to lift from air piling up under it.

When I was in China, I rode in this taxi. And its a chinese produced Volkwagen sedan, which has like no HP or anything. And the driver was going like 150 kph, on a road that had a speed limit of 30. Thats the most I've seen the limit broken by. And the driver almost crashed, but he stepped all the way down on the brakes So I didn't die
