Do the American Gixer thous not have the limiter @ 186mph ? Or have you bypassed it.
Nice bike by the way.
You are correct, however along with the Yoshimura FMS I was blessed enough to inherent the Yousimura team sponsored race only computer that replaced the stock computer that raised the stock redline from 12K to 13K and removed the 186 speedo limit. Goal is to hit 200 verified before adding a 80 shot of NOS that should put me at 260 bhp and 220+MPH.
After I get it tuned, I am adding a steering damper, steel braided brake lines, suspension, etc...Originally Posted by sora3

sin, you are absolutely insane.. 200mph on a bike... I would piss and sheit myself at the same time. I would imagine that if you lifted your head up you would fly up into the air like a kite.

they dont do 110 , even the SP version which your isnt only does 112 and it takes ages to get there.
yours might hit 97 if its in really good nick
how do i know this, I,m a mod on a bike forum and have a polini 172 big bore Aprilia Rs 2001 that only does 109 on gps unit as it runs out of revs,
A mito 7 speed 1994-7 is geared to 100 mph it runs outta revs, your speedo is wrong mate.
The cagiva mito 7 speed that I rode years ago that was un restricted buzzed past a ton no probs on the speedo, I only went out for 5 - 6 miles and it pulled past there no probs. People I know have had an indicated 125mph out of the cagivas. Usually the bigbore kits dont increase top speed as the HP increase is minimal and its the torque that benfits on small 2 strokes.
This is only speedo reading, but most reports on here are from speedos so its hardly telling porkies.
What bike forum is that then Acid out of interest.
bike1t
and the speedos are way wrong as they are not geared to do over 100
in order to do that kinda speed they need to rev beond 14500 revs which they dont.
wildblue do you know of stan stevens and his work?
i,m on 125ccsportsbikes,400greybike ,bikechat forums sv,owners, nibikers, bike1t,crriders,visordown,ect
125 2 stroke as a rule cannot hit a real 100 mph unless they have loads of work done to them and the gearing changed too
even cagiva list the top speed as 97 mph

That was my point though with the speedos being out doesnt necessarily make the poster a liar. I had an indicated 191 on a tweaked TL1000R it wasnt a true speed but Im not lying about what I saw. Its usually been the case that speedos over read by 10% same can be said of 125s.
Remember manufacturers speeds are never spot either.
I am aware of Stan Stevens, why do you ask. Ive been into bikes longer than Ive been into computers, lol, Ive even done used bike heaven on the old men and motors.
The modern day 125 inrestricted tend to give out around 33bhp which is much the same as the old RD250 which would do a Ton, add to that slippery fairings and a true ton is more than possible. The old TZRs used to do over a ton from what I remember. Also how many 125s tend to remain standard, specially the race rep 2 strokes. I dont see why you need to go beyond 14500 if you change the gearing like you said.
I have an RD125LC that in bits at the moment but I have no doubt it will crack the ton once I change the front spocket...like you said.
I also ride a ZX7R with 119rwhp and a nice KTM Duke 2 with airbox mod and smaller front sprocket so it wheelies alot more.....hehe
Also had an RGV250 recently until it seized with my dad on it and he nearly lost his foot !!
Never heard of bike 1t you got a link ?

I was also a biker way before i got into computers and ive had my big off too, bloody sore lucky to live type and not my fault, female driver pulled out on me in her m.p.v and smash wheel chair special for a few months and 4 opps
my current bikes are my rs, cr500 Sm and a castrol rep vfr
a few peds in different states of build too,
i asked you about stan stevens as that who worked on the big bore kit, from a 165 to a 172 and then i had head and port work, reshaped squish and exhaust made to suit (it was claimed to make 40 bhp but i say its a real 34 )
new Rs 125 cagiva's make around 26-8 bhp due to keep the greenies happy ect cat and ultra restrictive zort, carb
The Sp mito is the fastest mito you can get ultra rare and very expencive. mito mondia owner has two i believe.
know of one mito with a kx 500 lump in it and a few yps 350 lumps (Nora, old git)mitos too, even one rd 500 one (yordi )

My brother and I got to do 115mph on the highway... then we got to test the brakes when we saw a police car turn into the median about 200 feet ahead of us. How we didn't get a ticket was a mystery.

The mito that I rode was a 94-96 model (it was a long time ago) and they were claimed to have over 33bhp as they werent so restrictive back then.
So far with me driving:
93mph/90mph (speedo/gps), so 90mph in my 55bhp, 1.1 litre fiat punto. That was with the wind behind me and flat out.
100mph (gps) in a courtesy car, 1.25 Duratec Ford Fiesta, brand new. (literally 7miles on it) just cause i wanted to break the ton. It's useful having a car that you can't get banned for speeding in on motorways, most comfortable speed being 71mph in the punto

210km/h on the E17 (highway) in a BMW 320i sitting next to my brother
Soon I'll be driving by myself
lol looks like your brother will teach you how to kill yourself as soon as you step into a car......you better take it easy for a couple of years until you really get a hang of it cause at those speeds you are a passenger if something unexpected happens.......good luck with your license and allOriginally Posted by WeedJunk
