DFI LP UT and DTR... nothing...

boots up, I go into BIOS, make sure temps are ok (33C), and set all my stuff up (2.9VDIMM, no floppy, fast writes off, cd first boot, all the usual stuff) and save and exit and it boots to a blank screen. I restarted it twice and than reset CMOS and still nothing. No beeps or anything. Wtf?

EDIT:cleared CMOS, rebooted a few times, and got to a no floppy error halt screen, restarted again and got no POST.

    EDIT:
if I leave it default everything works fine. Wtf... I'm installing windows now...

Flash your bios, you're probably using one of the originals that had issues with mobiles/dtr's.

Make sure you manually set the vcore and do NOT leave it on auto.. or it will default to a real low vcore..

Got windows installed and everything is working fine. 40C idle on water sounds a bit high... than again I dont have a shroud and the fan is mounted stood off so the radiator cooling probley blows. How tight can I make the MCW6002 on an IHSless chip?

    3dmark time

Yeah I need to make it tighter. Water after block is 20C. A 20C delta-T at stock doesent sound right...

The DFI UT 250gb measures temps by holding it's hand on the heatsink and then it guesses what the temp is, don't give it any credibility.

afireinside, I see you got your DTR? Did you go the 3000+ route? What stepping did you get? Good luck, I finally got mine to bench stable at 2.8ghz. Took lots of testing though to figure out what the cpu liked. I had to loosen up my memory using the 166mhz divider though, so performance wise it is not really much faster than it at 2700mhz with the 180mhz divider.
