What an incredible car, okorn !!

The one my wife has in collection (which I did not buy) cannot match yours, but its nevertheless another Ferrari and a 1967 330GTC in Azzuro. 4.0 litre V12. 300 hp. 5 Speed. VIN#8853.

For doubters, its *not* mine and its based in Florida, where there are palm trees and there is beautiful weather. I'm stuck in dreary New England!!

The stunning red 250GT above is worth more than double.. I would say triple... this 330GTC.

Although the 250GT may be worth more, that 330GTC looks stunning

Thank you. My father-in-law has quite a collection, and has been known to provide cars to his children to sort of minimize estate taxes lol

The car just needs some TLC.. and the chrome on the front grille needs some treatment before it rusts further. Very hard to replace those bumpers !

You're going to keep the original radio aren't you ? I've seen ridiculous stuff where there's a stunning 250 GT California Spyder, then the inside is all stooopid Japanese stereo with DVD screen!

Anybody think these babies are worth the price?

Make no mistake. They are fakes. The body is real but the engines are early 1990s W124 300E engines with 5 speed gearboxes.

They are drivable models and meant for enjoyment. They won't be able to compete in any concours. One look under the hood and the judges will laugh their asses off.

But it's all for fun. A model with the original 300SL engine would cost over $800K and a mint one would cost $1.5 million.

    1956 model with blue interior for $225K, VIN# 198-2097

1957 model with red interior also for $225K, VIN #198-2144

You got that wrong. The chassis, the body and the entire interior are genuine. Only the engine and transmission are modern and updated. They are after all entirely MB. This is not some cheesy Chevy Lamborghini. Its only fake in the sense that it has a modern engine and a modern 5 speed tranmission. The same 300 horsepower and the same 7 seconds to 60 mph/100 km/h.

300hp? The other one of the cars had a the newer 24 valve I6 engine that has 227hp, not anywhere near 300hp...

Well I said BASICALLY a replica. I know the chassis etc are genuine, but for real collectors, a car with a different engine just isn't the real deal I'm thinking

It doesn't need to have a 300E engine. It can have a 500E engine, which produces far greater than 300 hp. In any event, the 227 hp of the W124 engine is far more efficient than the actual Gullwing engine, and nothing's to stop it from being supercharged.

And the base 227 hp 300E does do 7 seconds to 60 mph. And the Gullwing body is lighter.

It *is* a replica. I agree whole heartedly. Either its a $250K car, or a $1 million car. A pristine one can go for as much as $2 million. Let's put things into perspective here.

The choice is up to the buyer. I don't know if the original engine is available anywhere.. perhaps at an outrageous price.
