    Fan Stuff??

My fan has a 4 pin connector and I want to connect it to a fan controller that accepts a 3 pin connector, How do you adapt/convert? I haven't seen any converter cables on newegg or anywhere. Where would I find empty 3 pin connectors? I guess I could cut off the 4 pin, and attach the 3 pin?? But does that take a special tool? Crimper??

For all the hassle and expense of buying just the connectors, you're better off just buying a new fan. They're too cheap to bother trying to convert. Take a look here:

All you need is a 3pin to 4pin adapter. Go look at NexFan , about midway down the page.

I have a collection of all different types of connector adapters to cover all situations. They are cheap and you can easily make a 12V to 7V or 5V fan molex when you want to run a fan slower.
