We are gonna compete in 2K3 and 2K5 where AMD and Intel fairly close in performance and mostly video card dependant.

We are making arrangements now for safe cascade delivery as well as having Chilly1 and PC ICE attend to ensure optimal operation and avoid any problems with cooling.

We will bring LN2 containers and can arrange delivery of LN2 to the event if we go that route.

I hope that Runmc and Matt can attend.

Not sure how accurate this info is but seems to be close.
ATI R520...Due out in May 05
    24 "Pipelines"
    32 Texture Units
    96 Arithmetic Logic Units (ALU)
    192 Shader Operations per Cycle
    700MHz Core
134.4 Billion Shader Operations per Second (at 700MHz)
    256-bit 512MB 1.8GHz GDDR3 Memory
    57.6 GB/sec Bandwidth (at 1.8GHz)
    300-350 Million Transistors
    90nm Manufacturing
    Shader Model 3.0
    ATI HyperMemory
    ATI Multi Rendering Technology (SLI)
    Launch: Q2 2005
Performance: Over 3x Radeon X800 XT !!! (for single R520).
I think the only thing close even available is the Samsung 1.4ns and it operates at 500/600/700 depending on voltage used or 1.4GHz DDR max speed. I am sure you can get some nice OCs out of it.

I may just have to drop down to Dallas. I am relatively close here in Springfield, MO.

Hey why don't one of you record it on video? Then transcode it to divx/xvid and post it on here?

EDIT: AFAIK R520 = Fall, I work in the industry and this is what has been told by my superior. The only think I know coming out in 2Q, supposedly is AMR.

wow this is some pretty amazing stuff. So basicly this will be the most and best overclockers with the most xtreme hardware ever assembled in one location.

I sure hope that you guys get to use the Fudo core. with a dualy cascade on one of those babies it will make SLI weap.

The R520 taped out quite a while ago, so spring05 is more likely than fall, especially seeing SLi is now out.

Also, I doubt it is 24 pipes or 1.8GHz memory, more like 16 pipes at 650Mhz on 90nm low k with SM3+. I doubt it will break the SLi stranglehold on 3dmark03 or 05 also, but of course I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

I was only thinking the other day that macci had not posted anything recently on XS, he must have something brewing.

My guess is the rig will be ATi Bullhead motherboard, Fx-55 and R520.

    Regards

    Andy

Maybe I should surprise the hell outta the 'rents and drive in for the weekend? (~11hr trip, mind you, but now that I'm staff I'd like to meet these guys . . .)

I like the the nondescript buttons labeled simply "1" and "2". It makes the machine more impressive by way of the unknown. I bet people will stand back if button 2 is even referred to.
