Care to show internal of it LD? You said my evap?
Care to show internal of it LD? You said my evap?
New one, height is the same, base thickness is different and internal of evap is completely differentCare to show internal of it LD? You said my evap?
I'm testing 4 dfferent evaps right now, and when test will be done i will show you which one is winner...

Your idea hehe, when i make evap for Ratax and other peoples i i put that on suction line and Ratax bought brazed evaps more than 1/2 year ago!
And if you want to know when i saw that ---> Vapo LS!

Heatshrinking suction is from the old days, VapoPE had even heatshrink on the suction.
They mounted there thermal sensor there you know
Johann your so tence lately? care to work your frustrations out on someone else please
Back in the phase change world
The heatshrink on the vapo's are for holding the temp probe in place not for holding captube in place wich is clearly what that heatshrink is about.Originally Posted by Jort

LD can do what he want, Im just trying to prove a point that you proppably wont understand.
Anyway, Jort what did it have to do with you?

@ Jort
I am extremely happy for you!
@ LD
No I did not. Lets leave it there. I will never ever say again you copied something I promise. Like you say we all copy things and we are all different. I like to copy some things and you like to copy everything so we all do what we like and are very happy. YAY!

Agree to diss agree or not at all
I am not ya mothers nor ya fathers but christ!
I love that little heatsrink trick. I guess it's due to the cap tube being so thin and eays to snap right,...
That's why I prefer to put the cap tube inside the suction, you got better subcooling also.Originally Posted by Pete

It is better to say "chilly type evap" than "mine evap", or Jan kind of desuperhater instead of my own desuperheater design (that's the only idea I ever copied btw :P).
I still don;t understand how you get it out and seal it all up and everthing....seams to work how ever!
Hey,
Beginning of my new evap made with great help of Ols and me.
/!\ Be careful.... 19 pics /!\
The original part is a copper ingot about 40*20*350mm
It's too difficult to make a cylinder with an ingot
This was the first evaporator we've made, it represent approximatively 2H / 2H30 of work.
Other pics later
Here is a design I came up with, no dimensions becuase its just theory work.
p.s. sorry for the necrothreading.
p.p.s. @Trouffman, nice evap, looks like the chamber from a revolver
p.p.p.s @DetroitAC, did you ever finish the evap with the posts in it? How did it go?
Last edited by Freddie123; 07-29-2007 at 11:44 AM.
Sure I finished it, but then I solved the copper conduction/ refrigerant convection heat transfer problem, and realized that thing was way off. It's a paper weight now, and I'm working on an evap with what I believe to be the proper balance. I'm a victim of the saying in my sig...should'a done the paper research first...
You see what you did there? You got between me and the coffee, now this creates a SITUATION!
Lol :P Keep us posted
@ Trouffman, Nice! Some of the pics even look like a revolver part :- )

Damn nice evap Ricky!!!
Nice Ricky. We sure are going back to what good old baker used to do with more refinement as time keeps going on
I designed this evap as my latest mindflurry: Could be machined to have 4mm depth channels on a CNC mill fairly easily. Designed to have 2 layers so that the maximum amount of surface area can be utilized. A copper layer would be placed on top of the channels with a hole in the outer most channel leading to the upper level. The suction line would then be centered in the middle of the top level. If you took out the inner most circle you could use dual caps quite easily.

Hey freddie, do you think there will be enough mass to hold temps in that evap?
