check your contacts on all your cables that plug into the motherboard, someone had a simialr issue and it turned out their 12v cable (you know, the one with 4 connectors) was loose

    Hi again

All that stuff and thats not even the worst part, I 'm not going to say whats thats been like lol

I triple triple checked all connectors, heat transfer paste, lapped all heatsinks, then truple checked the whole system thrice. lol

it has got to be this motherboard

    weirdest damn thing is the whole system running 1-1 passes amm memtest86 tests @ 10.5 cpu @ 440 fsb @ 11 2 2 2.0 @ 2.88

    overnight not a single error

    i'm stumped

got no idea, nothing to test pfffffff

    done lost my mind.

have had multiple cpu's , ddr stix, video cards in this motherboard, it's quite possable something has been damaged.

I have taken it out a few times and cleaned it with a dry tooth brush

    but its rock solid @ 400 11 2 2 2.0 @ 2.77 v ddr and 1.675 for the cpu @ around 2100 mhz

    fsb update

    ok check this out

    droped cpu fsb to 133
    cpu multiplier to 16x
    changed ddr ratio to hit 450 and timings to 8 44 3.0 @ 2.9v

    ran completly stable

so to narrow it down to the cpu or the chipset's fsb

the later of the 2 i would bet is not the problem

i'm betting on it being the cpu...

    its a amd 2500 + 333 fsb default cpu

that test was for the ddr

i also ran the reverse test , to test the cpu's fsb max
came to about 215 then would fail

but in the 1-1 mode it's unstable at 202 fsb

    wtf

    faulty chipset ???????
    damaged ????

    no other signs

    currently running

    cpu 2.4 ghz ww/ 1.875 v
    ddr @ 400 fsb 11 2 2 2.0 2.77 v
    ddr ratio 6/6
    chipset 1.6
    agp 1.5
    totaly stable

chipset temp never exceeds 90 F.

    wtf lol

the only thing i notice odd is the + 12 power rail is dipping slightly under 12.00 but not more than .3 of a drop
    3.3 rock solid @ 3.30
and all others are fine also

cpu chipset temps are pretty low even at 100 % usage ( gamming )

    well any ideas

This is why I left the AMD world for over a year.

To be honest I've never heard of one PCPower&Cooling PSU being DOA, let alone two. I doubt VERY much that the PSU's were ever a problem. I've also never heard of anyone returning three pairs of Corsair unless you were strictly trying to overclock them, this has happened to me with one kit out of 20, but their memory almost always runs at spec. So here's what I think.

You should be testing your house current. With the amount of problems your having it seems like your getting serious voltage spikes through the wall socket which is damaging your hardware. Remember your basically converting large amounts of Alternating Current into high amperes Direct Current. Semiconductors/microchips are susceptable to spikes, and without any power conditioning your asking for trouble. Are you using any kind of overload protection? How are you plugged in, is anything else sharing the wall socket? You don't have an extension cord feeding five more extension cords do ya? No insult intended just trying to help. With so many thjings going wrong if it weren't current I'd think your inundated with static charges. Do have deep shag, or wool wall to wall carpeting? I'd use your mutli-meter to check the AC outlets. These may sound crazy, but so do the amount of things going wrong with hardware in your system drawing the most amperes.

I know the latter nForce ultra motherboards are problematic, and nForce chipsets are memory speciifc.

yeah, I would be wondering the same thing. But from what you'll said I would say its a motherboard issue. But if I were you I would be checking my house outlets. Try plugging the computer into another outlet on a different braker.

    fsb

i just moved 2 weeks ago, that would rule out ac because the problem still exists at the new residence.

    received ddr form newegg
    installed slot 1-3 2.77v @ 400 failed memtest86

    ram back to new egg
    received new set
imediatly test and it faled about 50 % threw test

rma this time dircet to corsair for testing and now have working ddr

I realize pcpwr and cool have a good reputation but.....

like i said, the first one was doa
    would not power on

the second lasted about less than one day

    turned psu off at night

woke up flipped switch on back of psu, hit power botton on case
and loud pop and white flash lol
    dead

also after removal there was something loose inside rolling around
sounded like a round small rock or bearing or hard plastic lol

now for another pain, the psu had a delta fan that rattled terrably, girl fried said what the **** ship it back NOW, so I ended up swapping the fan out for a enermax dual bearing adjustable fan, worked like a champ and still have warranty in tact.
    woo ha

i am betting it is the cpu itself

if the ddr will do 472 and play games, then it must be the damn cpu right ?

    should i try a 2500 - m ?
    mobile

let me know what you guys think

    thanx

I would guess the MB. Seems like if your having that many troubles, I would guess the MB...maybe a bad chipset

    fsb update

    i flashed to D22 A1BK R2 TURBO EDITION

and managed to get 205 stable

    i noticed my + 12 and 3.3 are a bit low

    however i do not have a multimeter/potentciometer

i do hoever have adjustable rails

what should i do first ?

get ramsinks and southbrige coolers ?

or go straight to rail adjustments ?

can some one link me to a good voltage testing tool please

just go to your local radioshack, Menardes, Lowes, etc and get yourself a multimeter. There about 10bucks or so and they'll be very nice to have. DO NOT adjust your rails without a multimeter

Try the Manta 26 BIOS. It worked best when I was using the NF7-S.

    fsb update

ok i purchased a commercial electric hdm4100 multimeter

    here are the results

    PSU
    3.3 is 3.36 idle
    3.35 load

    +12 is 12.11 idle
    12.10 load

    + 5.0 is 5.14 idle
    same under load

ALL MEASURED AT THE 20 PIN SOCKET AND TESTED ALL MOLEX ENDS.

    MOTHERBOARD

    currently wiht d22 turbo bios

i am stable @ the following

    cpu 205x10.5 =2153 mhz @ 1.675 v

    chipset 1.5 v @ the above speed

    ddr ratio is 6/6

    ddr 410 fsb @ 2.77v @ 11 2 2 2.0

STILL NOT EVEN ACHIVING 3200 MBPS OF BANDWIDTH
TESTED USING EVEREST HOME ADITION ( NEWEST )

i have cleaned this cpu many timeS with solvent and the heatsink with the same solvent

i just baught QD contact cleaner electrical grade cleaning spray
    quick drying formula
    leaves no residue, plastic safe

i will be cleaning the cpu and hsf

I noticed alot of dirt in the ddr slots

can i clean them with this stuff ?

let me know what u guys think

    thanks again

    fsb update

well i figured it out. it seems i was wrong, its the bios mod i flashed to and setting 1.5 on chipset voltage, for some rason that is the sweet spot on my nf7-s rev 2.0

    D22 A1BK R2-TURBO bios is the bomb

    works like a champ

    now attaining 470 fsb @ 11 3 3 2.5 @ 2.7v

    cpu @ 2450

    3500 everest read bandwidth

    then

    set cpc to 2t
    attained over 500 fsb stable

seems the voltages of the cpu are very sensative

to much cpu voltage and it becomes unstable, could be a flash heat issue witht he core but average tempatures are well within specs of the cpu.

    currently doom 3 runs fine @ 230 fsb 11 3 3 2.5 with a cpu of 2250 @ 1,725 in bios but more like 1.7 v

very strange and even unknown effect happened

    check this out
i been useing a zalman copper/aluminum heat sink for a long time now, the round one with 92 mm fan.

I recently took it out and cleaned it all up

I heard that some times oil and such sink in to the metal base.

and I had noticed that my cpu temps we rising above normal for the last 6 months or so.

So turned on a burner on top my oven to the high setting and let it get red hot.

So grabbed a pair or vice grips and sat the heatsink on the hot burner.

after about 2-5 minutes and after the hs was very hot I saw the most amazing thing happen.

in the middle of the hs where you apply the thermal past.

a trickle of smoke then.... a pool of clear liquid the size of a nickle come right out of the metal before my eyes , bubbled for a few seconds and totaly evaporated leaving no trace of anything but bare metal.

I thought it might have been water but the hs was super hot by then, and water would have evaporated long before that point.

I let it cool reapplied arctic ceramique and shazam my temps were like it was brand new and 10-15 degrees F lower than before.

this is so far, a unknown effect. I have researched this but have found nothing on this event.

I speculate that the liquid was some type of oil that had soaked into the base of the heatsink, but from where it came from or exactly what it was is still unknown.

I have since super heated all heatsinks in my posession and had similar results with 75 % of them.

and my system runs alot cooler all around.

cpu chipset gpu hard disks all have lower temps now.

    note..

the gpu and chipset heat sinks were completely clean before heating. both trickled smoke after 3-5 minutes and performed cooler after reinstalling them.
