    nf4 Sata locks?

anyone know if the NF4 boards have Sata locks for when overclocking?
i know that some NF3s had this problem (my neo2 plat does on 2 of the connections )

though i know that some NF3 boards have all the sata buses locked is this the case for NF4 or are some locked and some not, if so which have them all locked?

So why is it customary to post specs in sigs anyway?

if the board has additional raid controller such as Silicon image raid then SATA lock should work. But if it has only nforce raid controller then there might be a problem. I would like someone who has NF4 board to confirm this.

I have just got my board today and i can tell you NV SATA doesn't seem locked 240Mhz FSB crashes Might try 3 & 4 next but i an't doing it just yet i have already install windows twice today, had to to it on PATA so i could copy the NV RAID drivers onto floppy then again for RAID with the raptors. Anyhow the 5.10 driver disc drivers DO NOT work so you have to make a disk first before installing with SATA RAID drives

Sata is locked. I ran it with nForce4-4x (GA-K8NF-9) at 300MHz HT (Samsung 80GB Sata).
DazzXP: You most likely suffer from overclocking your HT link too much. Try reducing the LDT/HT multiplier to 4x or 3x.

Yeah that was the first thing i tried, 1003 Beta 500, 260MHz x HTT 4x @ 9x MP = 2400Mhz which i know it can do very easy, my CPU can do 2.6GHz. I have tried all SATA ports and none of them will get me up and running stable at 240+MHz. So currently running 230 x 5 HTT (2300MHz HTT!!) @ 11MP = 2530MHz that will do me, i think it might be something to do with the memory timings i have tried to point out as much as i can but there are extra options in there which i am not sure about.

from what we've seen so far.

Nope same thing BSOD at 260Mhz, 266MHz = freeze at post. Also disabled both LAN's, Firewire, the legacy Parrael and serial ports etc.
Doesn't really matter too much, i would need 1.75v inorder for me to have my PC stable at 2.6GHz 10x260 anyway. I am also using a ATX 1.2 PSU so i am minus 12v do you think this could have an impact on it? Pefhaps the voltage to the chipset?

Are you trying to run your memory at 1t or 2t?

    I know my a8n-sli cannot go over 239.6mhz 1t, but can get to 295 1:1 2t

Are the NF4 SATA drivers are different (newer) than the Nvidia v5.10 Chipset drivers? If so why hasn't Nvidia updated their unified chipset driver?!?

err, everyone here says the nf3 sata locks don't work and those from the sata raid chip do but this picture states the exact opposite:

    wich one is it now?

Yeah they are completly diffrent i tried the 5.10 drivers when installing XP and it doesn't like it one bit simply blue screens. The 5.10 won't even install, The 6.xx drivers are for the nForce4 boards as they have no AGP drivers which have been replaced with PCI-Ex ones.
