Is there any chance of making a Linux kernel module for th G-Froster, and a little application for it? Linux users need extreme cooling too!!

As any linux user knows, you can do your own programs for it , if you are willing to buy a unit and do it yourself, count on our help

I'm not gonna spend time just to write a serial driver for it, and a program to interface it. It will require me to have the internal programming of the gfroster, to see what functions it uses.

Well, that was an idea, we offer our help, but if we have to do software for any OS available, the controllers would be too much expensive.

I disagree, I think that if you (or someone) would create a program so that you could have linux compatibility, you could use it as a major selling point, and since the linux comunity is for the most part open source and volunteer effort, I"m sure you could find someone to give you a hand. writing a program for compatibility with other OS's shouldn't raise the price, it opens up new markets for you, creating mosre ciustomers to buy your product
that said, it's a personal choice, your controller, your software, your choice, if you would prefer to jsut sell to the windows-using comunity, and not bother with other os's that don't have as much of a customer base, thats your decision

I dont want to argue with you
It's simple, there you have a Linux user, we offer our help, but he dont want it.
The controller is fully configurabble with or without software, cause it has his own front pannel. there arent a big market for controllers, nobody is gonna be rich with this, and is more like a hobby, so yes, we dont have time to do a linux soft, I think Asetek or promie maker neither, and they are fully commercial companies.
we do our best effort to bring a good product, if anyone wants to invest money in this, then we will see linux, win 3.1 or whatever the investor wants .

Looking good and keep it up!

First step finished, 2 final and reliable products.
Second step, to do a new G-Froster Xe controller: USB, change to K type probes, and other surprises already in development.
It would be great to count with any kind of economical support
Well, maybe if you buy them.
