New CPU, now my K8N won't even post!!

All I did was swap out my 3500+ winnie for a newcastle and now my box doesn't post.

I reset the CMOS, tried with one stick of RAM, what the hell could it be....

Just like to add I boot it without the cpu fan plugged in, but it is impossible for my new proc to burn out right?

What can I do to get this thing to WORK!!!!

Try cmos at clear(pin2&3) and power up. Turn it off and back to pin1&2.....power up.

Try the board out of the case laying on the motherboard box or something, maybe just a short? Can you try out the old processor to see if maybe you got a DOA processor

Does the Old CPU still work in the mobo? It's a small chance but maybe the new CPU is bad.....
