Nothing is wrong with the 600w OCZ. ITS ING ING (sorry i just wanted to see banana's dancing) AWESOME!!!! OCZ is the best ever. Their tech support is TOP NOTCH.

I didn't bother looking at the markings yet....but its a week 42 i think. I need to look at it.

Bios = v1.3b6 i guess 1.36b????? I just got this thing running and haven't payed attention to it. Really haven't tried to tweak it at all, i think everything is pretty much where it needs to be as far as bios settings...*shrug*

A OCZ Booster and OCZ 600w surely helped out this overclock. I couldn't get 2.7ghz stable for very long, then i added this OCZ 600w and i'm posting and test from windows right now as i type this out.

A 2-stager is fixing to get dropped on this puppy pretty soon. I'd love to see 3.1ghz or more out of it.

Yeah, i haven't noticed as many 3200 and 3500's clocking as well as these do it seems to me at least. Regardless, i do think this is a pretty good chip and hope to really see what it can with some good cooling. It just gets to hot and crashes if i really try to cook it.

I think we see more 3000+'s is because they are cheaper so people done bother with 3200+ or 3500+.. who wants to spend extra $50++ for +1 multiplier :p

i had an old Coolermaster or coolmax somthing 400w.

The OCZ PSU helped my OC for what i believe the 3 main reasons:

    1) The amps are very high on each rail; this helps tons with stablility
    2) It has adjustable rails so i can "sllightly overvolt" i believe this helps eliminat alot of "droop" in the CPU, although it still does some, not as bad since it has a couple hundred mV on top of it.
    3) OCZ is a top notch company. Best "name brand" PSU you can get in my opinion. You know your getting quality when you buy this Part. After all this is all OCZ has to stand on. RAM, PSU's and DDR BOOSTER....so they better make great prodcuts if they want to survive, and THEY DO MAKE GREAT PRODUCTS...and their tech support is top notch.
*) Can you say 5 year warranty for the PSU's!!!!

(I'm not sponsord by OCZ or anything like that) I had a recent RMA action with them and i give them a 10 out of 10 for service. It was 100% pleasure to deal with them. I'm an OCZ whore for life now.

[ r2 ] , do you boot at those settings or do you use clockgen ? I've had issues with the computer freezing ( 1 time out of 3 ) when clockgen applies overclocks at startup !

    my HTT = 3.

I avoid going over 1000MHz HTT speed, mainly cuz it won't boot. lol.....this board seems to be sensative when the HTT gets over 1000mhz. so 300 x 3 = 900 and i stay under 1000
