Sorry to hear about the FX55. Its good that you have a 4000+ spare that you can throw in though

Yea it is a bummer. The 4000 isn't really a spare though, I had to take it out of my regular everyday rig.

BTW: VX running stable maxed out timings at 260 sofar, still going.

Meh, even more sorry for you if the 4000+ was'nt a spare

Carry on with the overclocking. We or I want that 4000+ to get chilly and some 3d mark action to be produced

Ouch that hurts. Why is it always the most expensive part of the system that fails. Was your 55 topless?

For what it's worth, I just got off the phone with MSI USA sales, and they say there will be NO Diamond version for the US, at least as of now. The Platinum-SLI will be out first, maybe next week they think, and a couple/few weeks later the regular platinum version will show up in the states.

Best I can do with My VX memory on this is 268Mhz max timings. 270 I have problems with.
Not bad 3D at only 10x268= 2680MHz, the MSI RX800 I ran at PE clocks of 520/560.

Hm any idea how it died, too much vcore, heat..?
Just curious over how much a beating these things can take before they go to the chip graveyard above.

OH...Master, never try the V-mod...that damn VCore PWM IC can't pass 1.65v

    Also, here are some tips.
    1. Do not use NF driver other than 5.10
    2. if you wanna play raid 0, let me know ASAP

    NF3 raid 0 is incompatible with NF4 Raid 0
I've been looking at this v-core IC chip, FB pin is 9.

    OPB,
Why do you think that by hooking a VR to pin 9 it would not increase v-core??

To me it looks like the pin9 to VR to ground would work.

Solder to the end of this resister.
I'd try a 50k VR set at 50k, work your way down.
