    It means that AMD has Finally Xhausted its resources to provide the only means to beat intel in benches until intel release the duel core technology or 2mb prescotts!

    Yeah...2mb Prescotts...I wouldn't expect them to be quite that good. They're be nicer yes, but you must remember, increase in L2 does improve preformace, but it also has to do with core design. 512kL2 NW vs 1mb L2 Prescott...who wins? Northwood at the same clock. See what I mean?

    FX was actually a ripoff brand name from the Nvidia geforce FX series. AMD has been famouse for copying names. Like Athlon XP from windows xp. Athlon 64 from nintendo 64. stuff like that. Duron was actually a paint store.

    and a little ot, but you really think intel Dual core will beat AMD's Dual core cpu?

    yeah theres a disscuon on this in the Intel fourum...I believe its a sticky, something like "4ghz Pentium 4 canceled, now what (dual core dissuion)" Who knows, wonder if we could ask someone from AMD, lol "ummm...well...its...its classified, thats it! its classifed"

    anyone remember Alienware Area-51 high end system? well... that closely resembles A64 FX-51, and the fact that alienware's image and rep is about gaming. AMD did well using that tag for it's top of the line gaming chip.
