your my idol
yeah just give the cat food and sit and talk to it. Don't make sudden movements and it will come. Like my yellow cat...who has been names "Yellow". He just showed up and we started feeding him and all...now he lives on the second garagre with a heater during the winter...I don't think he's gonna ever leave now that he knows:
1.) We feed him
2.) Free heat
3.) we pet him

I think it just boils down to personality. Some people I know really like cats. I really don't see what all the fuss is about. They sit around doing nothing & have nasty attitudes towards strangers. Dogs are nicer (for the most part), & happened to be the best friend of man.Originally Posted by masterofpuppets

It's broken.. it's all so frustratingly broken.

This reminds me of 2 cats of 15+ years hanging around but now they are dead
The cat in my avatar is named Scooby and is about 5 years old, I love him

Yeah, we had some older cats at one point. One died from natural causes and the other had to be put to sleep...her kedneys stopped working right and other problems...it would be too hard on her to even try to get her going again...RIP

Ah... cats, Nature's Hackers. How I do love them....
Cats don't do anything? And aren't fun? Well I'll tell you what all the fuss is about!Originally Posted by Iridium192_217
This is my cat Shante Goldstein. She was a stray cat and she is mine now, I had most of her teeth pulled due to gum disease. she was in really bad shape, but after some love and lots of money on vet bills, she is doing pretty good, don't you think? Here's a shot of Shante and me playing "snowboarder"
We all know what snowboarders are known for....Remember the Winter Olympics a few years back?
If this isn't xtreme, I don't know what is...
Fugger, can you please make a dedicated sub forum called "xtreme cats" ?
Shante has already told me should volunteer as the xtreme cats Moderator.

lol, i never expected this thread to be stickied when i mentioned it should. i used to be a dog person, but my apartment building doesn't allow dogs but does allow cats. i picked up what i thought would be the most 'dog-like' cat i could find. the dog-cat thing is kind of like the amd/intel, ati/nvidia thing. there's no truly valid reason to prefer one over the other, just personal preferences. i've converted from intel/ati/dogs to amd/nvidia/cats this year. my cat loves to watch me when i open up the case and do stuff to the computer. he nods his head and watches intently, like he knows what i'm doing. i think i'm going to need intensive psychiatric treatment after seeing the pic that trans am posted. i've been to alvin's (trans am) house, this is a typical saturday nite over there, you don't want to see what happens when he feels like overclocking his cat's social life.

Hey trans_am Iridium192_217 was banned. So we don't have to worry about him messing with the thread anymore
It seems like more and more cat avitars are showing up

I wonder if they banned him about the cat comments? Must've been a real cat-ass-trophy!
sorry, I couldn't help myself.
i am in the exact same boat as jikdoc cause i was always a dog person as well.
but my apt didn't allow dogs but only cats so i picked her up cause i wanted an interactive pet.
i find that cats are more human than dogs just cause they have mood swings and unique personalities whereas dogs are more of a pet and does anything for treats.
Elisha, your cat needs a name. How about Adorable?
LOL, cats vs dogs = AMD vs Intel
I likes dogs as well, i just never want one.
Walking the dog around midnight with rain and cold is a pain i think.
Altough 3 years ago a dog killed my 9year old cat i still don't hate dogs.
Well, tbh, i do hate that dog.
