    I hate PNY.

I bought a PNY 6800NU from a guy off OCForum, the person who sold it to me got it on the Black Friday sale at CompUSA and sold it at cost.

As you've probably read somewhere about how some of the PNY 6800NU at CompUSA have capacitor fallen off the card. Unfortunately, mine was one of those, I don't believe it was the seller's fault since when he shipped it, it was nicely packaged. Card was still in shrink wrap.

Instead of sending back to seller for him to RMA, I thought I would save all the trouble of shipping back and forth and just RMA this myself.

I requested an RMA from PNY yesterday, still haven't heard a SINGLE word from them, no e-mail, no calls, NOTHING. I'm not expecting much, but an auto-reply saying your RMA form has been received and under processing would be nice. Though I really hoped it was a FULLY auto process just like how you RMA a HD with maxtor or WD.

But anyway, here's some pics of the POS PNY.

Why don't you just solder it back on? Can't be too hard if you have a steady hand.

I don't think I have the skils to solder it on.......

And I don't want to mess up the card even more.

    Damn PNY, still no e-mails.

    Update:

After like 2.5 days of filing the RMA, FINALLY get a response.

Not one that I'm looking for.
"Sorry for your problem, but we need a receipt"

Like, wtf, 6800 has NOT been out for even ONE yr. (which standard warranty covers 3 yrs) Stupid admin procedures, so i sent them the scanned copy of receipt and now I wonder how long it would take for me to actually GET my RMA#.

After this said and done, NEVER buying a PNY again, and quote me on that one.

Now I REALLY REALLY hate PNY, they received the busted card on the 27th according to tracking. I have NOT heard back from them ever since, tried e-mailing, will call on monday to check out the status. (It's been 3 weeks!!!)

Is PNY's RMA service ALWAYS this bad?

And while I was waiting for my RMA, lol, I bought a BFG 6800GT. (damn PNY made me spent more money)
