    Purple UV dye?

Anyone know where to get some? I haven't been able to find a single website that has pictures of purple UV dye. The theme for my case is going to be Twilight, so I was going to go with blue lighting / indigo dye type thing. Since I can't find any, I was going to maybe try purple lighting with blue UV dye.

Where can I find pics of either of these UD dyes?

if ur thinking of using a cold cathode please dont... They have a tendecy to explode after a while of use.. Many people do not have problems with them and the problem is not well known, but it is there.. I dont want to see you one of the unlucky ones.. And its also not something you can fix or predict to stop it from exploding...

but u can get uv dyes at danger den. probably frozencpu and crazypc.com has them.

I haven't found anyone with a decent UV pic of purple or blue dye. What else could be used for UV aside from cold cathode tubes?

Yeah well the chance that it happens is like one in a thousand if not less. Anyway my new uv ccfls will be placed in some metal housing to reduce explosion damage if it ever may happen :P

I prefer not to use Primoflex. Never heard a good thing about it. I tried finding coloured Tygon, but with no luck.

Seems blue / indigo / purple dye is impossible to find

SVC.com has purple UV dye. I haven't tried it but it's on my wishlist. Anybody know if you can mix red and blue to get the shade of purple you want? I don't know if color mixing works the same way with UV dye.

Nothing wrong with the Primo-Flex, its actually nice tubing. Just don't be buying it for its UV reactivity...
