wouldn't a higher tras provide better bandwidth scores? I'm think that running 2-2-2-2 timings over say, 2-2-2-5 may actually hinder performance as the ram does not have enough latency for it's other timings to work properly. Hence you may be wasting cycles.

    Hi guys!
I was wondering the same question. I'm and Intel user and I'm not up to date with AMD CPU's as of late, but I'm planning on getting an A64-fx system by January or February when the new stuff comes out. I'm researching now.

I have a pair of BH-5's that can do 250 @ 3.4v 2,2,2,5 and a DDR Booster. I had read (a long time ago before I bought my current rig) that there were A64'2 dying because of high voltages. Is this still true?

Thanks for any info you guys can give me

Were any mods required to get up to 3.9v with the booster + Neo2? I'm wondering because I'm getting a DDR Booster soon and I have a Neo2.

New revisions dont seem to be suffering from the same problem that the old clawhammers did, REDKEN.

It could have even been a motherboard issue..

    Nobody is really 100% sure

Wish we could get an official word from AMD on what the problem is and if they have fixed it or not..

Thanks for the reply. So, right now people are feeding as much vdimm to the boards as their particular RAM can get? (just to be very sure ) In other words I can feed 3.6v to my RAM (which can take it) and not have to worry that my CPU is going to die, right?

Tanks for your reply too blinky!

What kind of cooling do you have on your BH5?
Mine don't go any further than 260mhz 2-2-2-5 @ 3'7V with an 8cm fan blowing on them

Maybe your BH-5 ic's CAN'T go any further. Try to give them 4v and try.

Your Processor was a northwood, right? By air you may have troubles to pass a determined number of mhz/fsb, who knows... (vamos, q tu micro puede q no de para mas y aun espero mi ys-tech y el adaptador xD)

I'm using 2-70mm fans right on top of the RAM via a custom bracket I made and have 2-120mm fans on the side of my case feeding the 70mm's.
    Is that 3.7v used 24/7?
