    Post My Chiller...

Well I got a mini-fridge and I have defiantly decided to make it into a chiller... One question before I start... Is the evaporator on a fridge the icebox? Because I know what one looks like for a window shaker AC unit... But the fridge is different... So the white plastic ice box, is that the evap.? Thanks, Im starting my line of pics and stuff, and I will post once done... Wish me luck,

It'll probalby look like a white sheet, with some tubes running through it. It should be in the icebox or around it. Should feel the coldest when the fridge is on.

    Question Well...

I thought I found it... I mean I see a little tiny white plastic plate underneath the icebox... but its not cold one bit... and there isnt even any ice on it... Do you think I should just drop the whole icebox inside the reservoir...?

The evap on a fridge is behind the freezer enclosure, and inbetween the outside enclosure

Aghhh... Well... Im deciding right now whether to scrap the fridge idea... and Get a nice Window Shaker AC Unit from ebay... They arnt expensive and I could probably end up building a better chiller with a Window Shaker... Than this fridge... And I really want a mini-fridge in here to keep sum beers and BAWLS Guarana in so I dont have to leave when gaming... Ya, that sounds like a better idea... Tell me, does a 5150BTU AC Unit sound like it will chill nicely...? -- http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...5000&adCell=P9 -- Look at the Specs section on that there website... Well... I will wait for sum replys to build up... and check back soon... Thank again for all the help from you guys... Peace

8000BTU AC good for water chilling???

I just saw an "advertisement" of someone selling an 8000BTU panasonic AC for 100USD in the local laundromat (my building) (in NYC)

PM me if you want the number for it ... (I didn't call them and dunno if it's still avail)
