Flashed VNF3-250 to latest BIOS and multi options dont work...

I got BIOS 3 (latest one on the chaintech site), flashed it, and if I try 9x multi in BIOS (I'm assuming "hammer FID control=multi adjustment) I get no boot. Is there something wrong with the board or my chip? (early CG stepping 3000+)

    EDIT:
god now RAM info wont show up in CPUZ and SP2 turned on the stupid firewall again :| WinXP sucks and so does this board.

wait now the firewall is OFF again and the RAM settings show up now. This thing really needs to make upits mind...

Someone has to have had this happen to them or know what it means...

    EDIT:
posted at the same time :P
The windows issue I had fixed its self but it still wont post at 9x multi or any other multi for that matter and changing it in clockgen hangs the system aswell.

The new bios probably just doesn't have mult. adjustments. Thanks for trying the new bios and posting about it.... I didn't have the balls to try it myself. Chaintech is a little dodgy when it comes to bioses....I don't trust them. It sucks that everybody had to get some beta bios from other sources just to get mult. adjustments.

I had the same problem with my Chaintech. Hit the RESET button when it hangs and it should boot.

The reset switch on the front of your case, as in next to the Power button. If you don't have case then it's a bit of a problem. My board would not cold boot at 240x10 either. I had to hit reset each time, but it worked. Someone on these forums originally suggested it.

I ment which pins are for the reset button? I'm running caseless...

I'll give it a try but how would ram sticks affect CPU multi?

Try one stick in different slots. I'd bet it works.
