What do you think, I have a kick-butt WC system (Cathar block, two pumps, two rads, 1/2" tubing) and an Intel 3.4C plus a brand new Asus P4c800-E Dlx. I also have an eVGA 6800GT AGP 8x. Do you think I should sell that Intel and get a Winchester and overclock it up the wazoo? What do you think of performance, I will also have to find a buddy to trade soon or something... It sounds like I was a dumbass to stick with 130nm and Intel. Prescotts looked so bad back then though... Socket 478 looks bad in the face of A64s... What do you think I should do??
    Hail to extreme cooling!

keep the vid card and sell that rig. Get yourself either a MSI NEO2 or wait and get a S939 DFI Lanparty. The MSI is a very nice board, and the DFI should be as well...we'll just have to wait and see.

hot damn i've decided i'm tired of this 3200+ when the 3500+ go so much better. i'm gonna sell it and get a 3500+. that'll mean i don't need the GSKILL too because i wont need the fsb to keep up with yall :P

by the way i'm gonna get all of your OCs and put them on the first post. so steppings would be good to add too if you have them.

EDIT: ok that's done, i'll keep checking on this thread and maybe add steppings later

Well here is my 3200+ on air and prime95 stable. I can do 2.7 into windows and games but definately not prime stable. I might just buy a Retail 3200+ from newegg and egay this one if the retail is better. Seems ppl with the retail kits are doing very well.

3500+ Winchester cooled by Coolermaster Hyper 6. The vcore, temps and rails seem to fluctuate a lot so I'm playin it safe by keep the vcore and clock low. 2.6Ghz is easy to do. 2.7Ghz needs 1.55v. Haven't tried to to 2.8Ghz yet, althought it could probably do it if juiced up. I don't have much confidence in my memory. Mis matched memory, one of them is KHX3000 BH5. Looking to get some new memory soon.

I managed to complete a 3dmark2001 run with 9x342 at 1.88volts, but the high HTT makes things wierd out all over the place(i.e. network card not working)
I think I need to get rid of this 3000, and get a 3200. 10x320 with memory at 260Mhz would be a fast machine.
Here is a pic of the stepping and vcore mod.

My 3200+ Winchester run with 2694Mhz by 1.52V with Watercooling

The 2700Mhz is not stable with 1.7V, i think the 270FSB ist to high for my Gigabyte K8NS 939 Ultra.

The Gigabyte is not stable with my BH-6, by 180Mhz 2-2-2-5 is the end.

How come AMD just allow 3000 to have 9x multi as highest? That's pretty stupid imo.

    Stock cooling or xp-120 (same result) = 2450mhz @ 1.70vcore on 3000+
