but if your bus isn't locking than that doesn't always matter. Somep PCI RAID controllers don't care about a bus of 66mhz other don't like just being out of stock, so I would rule it out.

I can clock the fsb on 300mhz in the windows. When i clock the fsb in bios on 300fsb, than is the screen black by the next boot.

It's all luck of the draw. My retail 3500+ Winchester needs 1.6V to do 2.5GHz Prime stable. I can run windows and SuperPi at much higher clocks but Prime errors out immediately.

Because motherboards are too dumb to register the neg temps so -20*C is to the motherboard sometimes a positive 200*C at which point the computer stops working. It seems like a modded BIOS could fix that tho.....

Nope... my mach 1 is regassed with bbq grade propane, and has a shorter cap tube for greater capacity....it stays at a nice and cool -51 on the display with this winchester....my old barton used to drag it down to -45, so these winchester's run nice and cool.....
I dunno why so many guys are having problems, unless it is just with the mach 2's?

sai....I would get atleast a 3200 as the 3000's 9x multi is too limiting.

Are there ever going to be mobile versions of socket 939? I think some 35W Winchesters would clock like madbeasts.

Hmz if I got this right the motherboards for s939 cant read negative degrees so it will up and show like +60C? Isnt possible to shut down the option that the computer should turn off if the cpu gets to hot? or isnt there any option like it in the bios?
