Thought you all would like to play with this one.The difference is a few "extra" options

Load memtest and you see this.

We are upto ver1 now BTW

Next up Press C and you will see this.

Notice option 9

press it and you get this.

Now there is a disclaimer that pops up to so you know to be careful

This soon disapears and you left with this.

If your using A64 you can even play with a few "Alpha Tweaks" if you wish...just press 5

Setting command rate is just an expmple.

Now once you set a timing paramiter the test restarts but you will notice it does not exit...so, you can now set and play with timings all within memtest without having to reboot.Only real missing option is fsb change but we may get that working soon

It work with A64, i875, i865, 915 and 925 and i have an idea nf2 also (although i am unsure)

Oh WOW! The ability to modify timings within the program is totally sweet! Does the "modify all" option allow you to change CAS latency?

A64 cas latency is an issue...all other timings are there an say 4/5 of the alpha tweaks.

One of the bonus's of you using this is that not all board have the extra tweaks for A64, so you can set and play with them in memtest then apply them with the A64 tweaker in windows.

Like teh latest versions of memtest so that we can just boot up a usb/dos thumbdrive and run it from there like I do now? PPPPPLLLLLLLEEEEEEAAAASSSSEEEEE!!!

It'll be cool if OCZ's ram came with software unlocked EEPROMS (of the first 256bits I think that JEDEC specifys to software lock)...then write a program so users can tweak SPD settings of their own :banana4:

Yep Tony - it's pretty sweet to play with, great to change timings on the fly.

They are yes...which is why its best to keep em locked away

ahh....

so unlocking the SPD would be great for tweakers..but not for OCZ...

Boards bios allows for most tweaks...i would say its better to ask bios writers to add the timings you see in the DFI bios for example into their files...somethings are better locked away, but some i do agree are fun to tweak...this is why we did memtest86 with the timing options.

My AA8 only allows for the standard timing adjustments and PAT....

I'll give this a try tommorow though, anyone tested out how well it works on i875? (as far as changing timings)
