Exclamation Got me a Damm good new AXP

Ok, it's been a while since I posted here, even been on the net as my broadbandconnection is out since last week Thursday and will be out until monday

So now I'm using a good old dialup account as I have some Great news.

Got me an AXP 2400+ chip today, and (i'm guessing) it's a damm great one.

    Why?

Wel without any tweaking or stuff I'm (granted not 100% stable, everything but 3Dmark) @2465MHZ!!!!! with STOCK VOLTAGE!!!

    Yep that's right. 2465Mhz with stock 1.65V!!!

When I find some time I'll see what this chip can do.
But surely with my new KD7-Raid and this chip 2600mhz 3Dmark (or maybe higher) Should be doable.
I mean most people ar running those XP2400+'s @2.2V to get in the 2.5ghz range. I'm almost there with stock voltage

Sorry if this post seems to much bragging/showing off, but I'm just overcome with joy.

I'll keep you guys posted, and submit some screenshots, benches, etc, when my ADSL connection is back up again.

its gonna be the same stepping as the other 2400+ chips... there arent any other ones. One chip's better than a different one thats all... oh and yea some ppl are more lucky than others

    Practicaly killing my modem

Pff ok, i'm killing my modem here but this is one of the max stable speeds.

    Still no special tweaking:

Now for thoso who doubt it to be stable, a 3Dmark result to prove it.

    3Dmark compare

Now plz don't give me a hassle about the low score, there is absolutly no memory tweaking or something going on, no mobo drivers installed or anything.
Just pulled out the KX7 and popped in the KD7, so W2K is also pretty FUBAR.

KD7 doesn't recognise the 2400+ as it's still the original bios (with the non working 6 divider) I'd have to update it and reinstall W2K, but since it still boots this windows is good for testing, so i don't destroy a new install

    Stepping for the fans ;)

Grabbed my new digicam and took a picture of the stepping

(detail isn't great but hey, just a low res low zoom pic)

    Enjoy

Oh yeah, where is this tread mirrored??
    Always intersted

    @JC
Chip is @ 2.175v and i'm guessing maxed out more volts doesn't help, but I can't complain about that now can I :p

    Hmm, Week 41 RPKW.

I've only heard of SPEW and RPCW. Thats a hell of a difference OC wise.

Good score on that chip Ent. You have a Prometeia for it? Btw, your 3dMark compare shows that you have AGP disabled. 13k without AGP must be some record

    *oh, and hi xtreme ppl*

Most excellent job my friend, congratulations

That is an awesome overclock indeed...my hats off to you !!

We need to know what voltage it took to achieve 2778Mhz....I made 2705Mhz on 2.15v with my week 42. You definitely have an exceptional chip there...I haven't done 3D past 2556 Yet....waiting for my KD7 to arrive to further my results
