Considering going Intel to have some fun with max overclock and some benching.
Would you guys recommend going socket 775 or 478? Some while ago I've had Intel

Want AGPx8 course have been told x800xtpe Express dont clock well.....?
Want DDR with me bh-5 memory - 1GB or ½GB....

    Have these setups in mind:

    775:
    ASUS P5P800 + 3.6e

    478:
    ASUS P4C800 or ABIT MAX3 + 3.4e

Cooling will be DryIce and LN2.

Any tips on other mobos or cpu's would be great

I know DFI has just released a 775 board that uses the 875P chipset, so you can have Prescott 775 lovin' with DDR. That would be a valid avenue to consider. If you go with an 875 or 865 board, you wont have to worry about PCIe video cards. Also, I think the 3.6e is in VERY low availability...might not be a problem any more though.
    Less is more.

if you really go for dryice and ln2.. you might consider an EE p4 instead..

but anyhow.. I recommend the new dfi boardo n the 875p chipset as well.. that or getting an abit MAX3
