    K8NS pro and what 2800+?

Newegg has two OEMs and one Retail. Which is my best bet? Is there somewhere that will do hand picked steppings or something? I want the best chip possible. Is a 3000+ REALLY worth the extra 20 dollars? I'm trying to keep this as cheap as possible. I still need to fit a new waterblock (TDX?), heatercore, and GPU pelt and I dont really have that much to spend.

    EDIT:
AX means CG core correct? I guess I'll just go with the "AX" 2800+ OEM than.

Memory is fine if I can get 2.6ghz or higher with a 166mhz divider. I have CH5 capable of 240 1:1 and was CPU limited and some BH5 sticks that I never really tried. Not sure if the board can handle high HTT tho.

I just purchased the newegg 2800+ (AX) for $137 along with a K8NS (non pro) and I'm pretty happy with it. With average air cooling @ 24C ambient, here's what I get:

    K8NS
    2800+
    OCZDDRB
    KHX3000
    Fortron 350W

    ddr@3.9V
    CPU@ 1.60v
    HTT 3x
    Vddq +.3v
    Vldt +.3v
    2-2-5-12-16
    1:1

Maybe someday I'll try it out with some dry ice

    yes, it's some KHX3000, confirmed BH-5. 2-2-2-5-12-16 1T, pretty nice numbers...

it was 1T, dunno' why the screenie shows 2T, in fact the BIOS is kinda' screwy, I'll set a timing to a specific number and CPU-Z will show something different

are they 256mb sticks? Single sided? What voltage?
Most people can't run 2x512 1T over 210Mhz on this board

    Uh isint 3.9V a bit much? :P

I think I might just wait this out and use my VNF3-250 and 3000+ from the basement for now.
