    Excellent !

    Shamino was always running into trouble with the thermal throttling on his nvidia so a "warmer" chilled water system will not run into this problem and having two cards in SLI will go well towards making up for the loss in cold temps.

    I think a 2 x 500/1200 6800U/GT would be rather good , as long as Ati do not keep bounding ahead with drivers.

    Regards

    Andy

    PS Just seen your sig and had a look at the Zytrachill .. yes, -35C would be very nice on a dual SLI machine, should fit in nicely.

    Testing results for 6800nu Asus V9999 GE

    Going from 256MB memory to 512Mb no significant change
    Going from AGP 66Mhz to 100Mhz no significant change
    Going from AGP 128MB aperture size to 256MB no significant change

    LOD increases

    0 => 4250
    6 => 4340
    12=> 4363
    15 => 4365

    Driver changes

    66.31 => 4365
    66.51 => 4733
    66.70 => 4796

    Final result is 5127 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=30274
    which just got in front of a guy who managed to unlock his 16 pipes, so that was satisfying.

    NOTES

    1) With a LOD of 12 GT1 and GT3 are both very interesting to watch. The defending soldiers in GT1 look like shiny robots like the T1000 out of terminator, in GT3 the guys on the boat look like they are made out of plastercine .. quite amusing.

    2) 66.70 is very good for 3dmark03 as well. Also good for 2001 believe it or not. Managed to set better scores on both those by using it. 248 fps for nature in 3dmark01.

    3) Small fluctuations by random in 05 lead to big number increases due to the number of marks per fps. So if you are lucky and have a 0.5 fps increase in one test ( which I saw twice during testing ) then this adds quite a bit, considering the scores are all so close at present.

    Regards

    Andy

    I run with the default settings. I think that AF optimizations are enabled by default but not Trilinear... although it could be the other way around. I'm at work now so I can't check for you.

    Nice score there learn, you got number one for 9700P.
    So with me and you xtremesystems hold number 1 for both 9700p and 9800p. Wonder for how long.
