400W ATX troubles and a pelt?

    400w ATX PSU troubles ...
SO I found thisPowmax PSU with 12V 25A . I figure for $30 its worth a try for my 226W Pelt.

I cut the Molex off a 12V from the PSU , soldered it to my leads from the Pelt , and heatshrinked the connections.

    Just one problem.

When I turn the rocker switch on - on the back of the PSU , nothing happens. The PSUs fan doesnt start. Nothing.

I was hoping this might work , grrr. There is nothing else connnected to this PSU. Any advise?

You have to ground 2 of the pins on the PSU, I forgot the numbers I'll be back in a second.

I believe the wires are 17 Green 16 Ground. This will make the PSU be turned on all the time and you woun't need it hooked to a mobo. It's the 2 in the picture, I just use a paper clip as a Jumper.

I believe they are both the same, basic ground wires.

I tried the paperclip in 16/17. NO GO. grrrr

Looking at the color of the wires into the ATX plug:

    14- green
    15 -black
    16 -black
    17 black

    Any suggestions?
