Can't say that I have... more of a time investment issue than anything. I did download the tweaker, but between all the BIOS changing I've done lately, haven't had time to break down and tweak the alphas.

thats a 'noise' issue and some boards. introduced with d26 and d27 and some boards. hook up a cpu fan to the header, and try dialing the speed slower or faster, and that blue line will dissappear, and youll be able to get in to bios.

Thanks. It worked. It was the new fan I installed for cooling the RAM and Booster that was running at slow speeds. Cranked up the rpm on it and the Bios appeared. Ran 3dmark01 with XP-M 2400+@11x235 2x512MB CorsairXMS3200 BH6@3.3v 2-3-3-11 CPC ON. Trying to push the timings down to 2-2-2-11, but it's no luck at that speed i think. I know one of the sticks can run with those timings, but the other one is not used as much. Maybe try a little burning in.

By the way, is anyone else having problems with HalfLife2 and memory errors? I can run 3dMark01, 03 and Prime95 whithout crashing, but HalfLife2 crashes very easily anyways?!?

Dear members:-
A sad day indeed I had a mega disaster last night I think the power lead from 9800 pro came loose and shorted out and or intermittently made contact spiking….the system.

I smelt a slight electrical smell and switched off immediately……….

Checked found the above problem ……on switch on psu appears to work….board leds light….disks spin + cd drive and fans……..but pc does not boot and hard disk light is on all the time. Also the monitor does not display anything!!!!!

Have I blown the board and the graphics card???? What is the likely damage????


I have a spare NF7m pc …….. I was going to gradually substitute parts into it to find out what is dead…… is this a good plan. Will the XPM2600 boot into a std NF7m???
or does the bios need tweaking…..if so which bios do I need….would Manatray XT D26 work ok????

Any advice would help Doh!!!!

The DFI ultra b was the board to have in my opinion. Better FSB overclocking. NEO made custom bios's for the DFI board but unsure if they are still hosted anywhere.

I need to goto windows to actually find out.

However dude was looking for a nf7-s bios..., can't really help with that.
It's possible to mod, just finding a copy is the hard part.
My setup is a complete mess though I don't expect to have to mod a bios.
But I could doit... if I really had to.

Not so sure that platform is worth much now though...
