    Using flexible renforced vynil tubing?

Ok, so basically I have some barbs here that only get better at gripping as you add pressure. They're rated to 300psi.

Could I get some high pressure tubing, and assemble a system without brazing it together, I have enough parts to make one, but I'm not so keen on brazing it.

Some of that blakc rubber tubing is rated to some crazy high PSI's.

I haven't a clue if this would work or not, so be gentle, eh?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it won't work, and even if it could hold the psi it would leak over timet hrough the hose. The only place you should be using hose is in the evaporator suction. Brazing is dead easy, go and buy some 1/4" or 5/16" tubing, a torch (25$), and some Silfoss brazing rods and your set. Just heat up the joint with the torch till it glows, then touch the brazing rod to it and it will flow like butter. It takes a bit of practise to do well but it is very very simple, I find it much easier than soldering.
