OCZ DDR Diagnostic Booster Works on these Motherboards.

I know the OCZ Booster is supposed to run on the K8NS Ultra939, but I haven't been able to do so, until now(I think).

Just need to confirm something:

There is absoluty no chance in hell, my RAM is able to run 215mhz CL2.2.2.8 T1 with only 2.6v, right? They shouldn't be able to, not even at 2.8v(BIOS max).

I think, I finally got the thing to work, so my FX-55 is going to get some RAM power at last. I want 30k with 6800GT within 24hours

is it normal for the booster to variate so much during heavy usage? during unreal2k4 it will run from 3.26v to 3.18v. but idle its stays (most of the time) at 3.36v ufff

u basically have to set it so the vdimm doesnt drop under a certain voltage...i think in my case 3.2v

that is normal, unfortauntely, for the booster. for me, i variate up to 1.0-1.1. others more (like yourself).

The voltage variation you are seeing is due to your PSU reacting to the load. Some PSUs will do this more than others. With a strong PSU you see very little variation.

hi there...i am new here..juz wana say HELO...n i hav a few questions to ask...

anybody knows bout the compatibility of OCZ Booster with an ABIT IC7? coz i read at the COZ website, saying that IC7 may need VTT mod for better result...n it says using OCZ Booster i can get up to 3.6V...up to 3.6V with or without VTT mod?

how about if i do not want to do any VTT mod? any ideas what cud i expect for my Vdimm using OCZ Booster only?

without a VTT mod your rams will not benifit much from more VMEM. you basically HAVE to do a VTT mod.

why i cant set the booster above 3v? at 3v my bh5 ram will only run @230fsb but if i set it higher no go @230..... , so the highest volt i can set is 3v specs

you can get as much as you want but your rams will not go higher because of lack of VTT. VTT has to be 1/2 of vmem.

Booster works on Gigabyte K8NF-9, however it needs to be modded in order to fit more than 1dimm.

around 225 2-2-2.... i'm saying that if your mem does 225 at 2.8, at 3.3 it will be 230 or so if your VTT is not correct. if you have a correct vtt then your mem could reach 250+ with 3.3v.

ahh..i think i got u....

can boost the voltage, but without proper VTT, it wont get proper results...yeah..the RAMs i am getting shud be able to do 255 wit Booster....hav a rpint scren fromt he last owner...oh, n i am on Intel btw...

i think the rev. 1 booster had the stick on heatsinks. the rev. 2 (what i own) its just one piece and stuck on very well (you cant move it).

I understand why I can't push my BH5 above 240 Mhz, even @3.6V my VTT stays at (VDDR in bios) / 2

My Booster just arrived and it works great on my DFI nf3! I've it installed in slot 1 with RAM in both 2 and 3. There is just one thing I wonder, I set it to 3.1V, but my DFI says it's giving 3.51V! Wich reading should i trust more?
