You guys have to remember ram clocking is not all about high fsb's on AMD boards its about latency also. I ran ddr600 with 3200Plat rev2 yes....but the EB at a lower fsb was even faster.
If you have the chance of EB and it turns out to be killer i would stick with it. I know if i put my ddr600 (3500EB)modules up here for sale here they would be gone in under 60 secs..these 2 3500EB modules maybe even better.

The advantage is Rev 2 clocks better with a 1GB set. So if that is what you want then get Plat Rev 2.

Sandra will show more bandwidth at 290 3-4-3 than 260 3-2-2 on an A64 setup.
I think running CAS 2,5 on this TCCD based mem is a lot better than CAS 3 and is posible at the same speeds as CAS 3.

CAS 2.5 will always usually be better and faster. Although it all depends on what the RAM can handle and at how high of clocks.
no, but im interested tho'Originally Posted by bigtoe

What kind of temp readings are you getting in windows?Originally Posted by kakaroto
With a R507 Mach1, I get about -22 idle and -8 to -10 under load with my 3700@2700MHz using Speedfan. That horrible Smartguardian program that came on the CD doesn't read the correct temps at all...its reads like 245C with the Mach1.
ah some nice numbers at AT
but i'm just amazed that people all seem to be selling their BH-5 for +/-300MHz memory, while in some cases the BH-5 is actually faster!
for example look at the BW record from Onepagebook,
that is done with bh-5 (8352/8240 @ 278.6MHZ)
I would really like to test an EB stick, but could never get one =(
Everything extra is bad!

Off topic alittle but it started out to be involved with this. I was going to set these two fans up for blowing over my RAM but I couldn't figure out a way so I decided to replace the old 80mm I had on top of my 9800XT with these two. I zip-tied them together and they are just sitting there.
thx for clearing that up for me man ive been running intel for the last yr so getting back into the amd secne will take a while... when i finaly do revieve these eb3500 sticks i will post my results...Originally Posted by bigtoe
thx perc,
The EB sticks are getting to be hard to find anymore. And they are going for a pretty penny if I remember correctly...$300+
I paid $279.99 for my RAM and that is with shipping.

Does anyone else notice a lot of vcore fluctuation? Especially in CPUZ? And do ya suppose the next "official" BIOS will help it? Nice clock, G H Z!

I agree. Major flucuations in cpuz but i dont think its cpuz. I set 1.4 in bios and cpuz would report 1.37 and would reboot after couple of mins. I thought these japanese caps were supposed to help?Originally Posted by spaceman

Other than that im at 2500mhz 10x250. Temps are also fluctuating badly...

wat kinds of psus are you using? i made a direct deposit today for my board and it may come tomorrow or monday
SpaceMan & Noobie
Samurai Jack has done a lot of testing on the voltages with this board, it just simply is not flucuating the way it looks. All testing was done with $500.00 DVOM from our shop.
One note about voltages & this board. When setting ANY voltages you must Exit & save in bios TWO times( set voltage- exit&save - re enter bios - exit&save again) you do not have to reset the voltage but for some reason it want apply them on the first try. I believe we have incountered this from day one of our board.
As far as the voltages they are rock stable even in the high setting.
Hope This helps.

Then if I understand it; when I change my settings and change any voltage to mantain my system stable, if I don't re-enter bios and save again, I will be trying with more speed, fsb, mhz or what ever I changed but with the voltage I was running before the change? If so, I could have done many tests with different settings than the ones I thought I was testing and could have discarded configs cause I was running not enough voltage bit without knowledge that I could be running at a smaller voltage than supposed one.
I haven't noticed that but I'm not 100% sure that it doesn't affect my mobo. Does somenone know if it affects all mobos or it's only with that?
I run 24/7 and I don't want to reboot at this moment, so I'll wait for your replyes or will check on my next reboot
My english is not very good. Fogive me if my post is... not well explained
Yeah that is correct...F10 & ENTER *REBOOTS*..Enter BIOS again and then F10 & ENTER. I came across that last night. It is weird that it does that.
I've had to reboot to change my vid card so I've tested that must of saving twice before voltage gets the new settings.
My mobo hasn't any problem with that.
My bios is 09/12/04 with vdimm 3.1v limit, not the modded one
