It will depend on what you are running. I'd say the XP is probably better overall.

Yeah, Xp + Bh5 @ 3000 on a dfi board would beat the p4 in pretty much any game that's not q3. But you are expecting a lot if you plan on getting 3ghz on plain water.

Was water chilled? What were room temps? I've yet to see anyone running 3ghz stable on an amd without subambient temps.

I think 58°C Prime, but I ll use like 2.8Ghz 24/7 and 3Ghz and more 4 Bench. Can I recognize if BH-5 or BH-6 chips r on KHX 3000, by some code writen on the heatspreader? Do u think 134$ is ok for KHX 3000 with BH-5 or BH-6?

The thing to worry about is that hyperx tends to be dual sided so you will likely have to run 2t.

And do you trust this friend? Because I have never before seen 3ghz on xp without supercooling. I have one of the best 2600 xp-m I've ever seen, and it does ~2800mhz at 2.0v on watercooling. I can probably get a Screenshot at 3000, but it would be nowhere near stable.

I'm not aware of any code on the Heatspreader for khx3000. I owned A00 A01 and A02, and it was all BH5. But this was about a year ago. Personally I think it's a little bit of a gamble today. If you are planning on making the change for a performance boost, I wouldn't bother. If you are doing it to get some $$ back (3.4c's are pretty pricey I know), then go ahead. But to be perfectly honest, once you take into account 2t, 2800mhz instead of 3000 and a few other factors... your p4 might be back on top.
