    nForce2 Tweaker V0.2

    A Windows Program written by CodeRed @ XtremeSystems.org allowing tweaking to all nForce2 base board on:

    - Memory Alpha Timing
    - AGP Controller Latency
    - AGP Bus Latency
    - PCI Latency

    Screenshot

    Before running this program. Close any hardware monitoring software ( MBM5, SpeedFan, ...etc)
    Turn it back on after nForce2 Tweaker tools already open.

    here are some comparison for alpha timing

    this is with loosen timing: 6-6-6-6-3-6-6

    this is with tight timing: 2-3-5-3-2-2-4

    Gain some marks on 3d mark2001

    and some memory bandwith about 20-50Mb/sec

    and here is super tight alpha timing:0-0-3-3-0-0-3-3

    here some feedback from user

    JimmyPage @PCPerspective Forums
    tested all kinds of settings, ended up at 1-3-4-3-3-4-4 read top to bottom. Provides greatest bandwidth (about 40MB/s more than 5-4-6-3-3-5-6, about 15MB/s more that 1-3-3-3-3-3-4) and doesn't seem to limit my FSB at all.

    No errors at any speed up to the limit in Memtest.

    This is done with 2x256 CH-5 in DC, btw

    oh ya here some reference for Alpha Timing

    Code:
    Alpha Timing Parameters

    T = latency/timing in number of clocks
    DOE = ???
    RRD = Row Active to Row Active Delay
    W2P = Write to Precharge
    W2R = Write to Read
    REXT = ???
    R2P = Read to Precharge
    R2W = Read to Write
    if u have any other memory timing register plz let me know..

    Good job guys!

    I've been using WCPCREDIT until now for these. I found that using 5-4-6-3-3-5-6 kills my bandwidth (by a lot) but allows sligtly higher FSB, so one step forward two steps back, pointless. I endedup with 1-3-3-3-2-1-3 for my double-sided 512Mb stick. I'd like to see what other people are running too.

    Very nice job CodeReb

    Would it be possible to have all bios options in a windows based program?

    That would really rock

    The next revision will have more options. Tictac and I just have to work out which options can/cant be set from within windows.

    BTW Dont thank me, thank tictac. He did all the hard work with the register values. I simply adapted A64 tweaker.

    Isn't 27 3DMarks within the margin of error ? And how the heck did Merlin manage 267FSB on a NF7-s ?!

    looking into it right now

    EDIT: tictac can you check the following interpretation of your screenie. In particular I need to know the valid range for each setting. Just want to get it right (first time) before I commit this to code

    Do I have to understand all these settings, or is it enough when I know that lower = better?

    hmmmm

    I still dont get the AGP bus latency location. Why does Oskar Wu say it is one place and the tweaker has it elsewhere?

    I guess that CPC on/off and CAS are two things we cannot alter from Windows....only bootup bios time these can be set?
