    funniest post ever.

seriously though man, you have to stop this.

it sounds like you want to be stupid and dangerous with the stuff. and i dont think XS wants to be associated with your death/injuries you might get if you get some LN2.

dont get yourself banned for being so foolish and dangerous. nobody here wants people getting hurt.

"Popular computer hardware enthusiast website 'Xtreme Forums' was shut down by a court order today after a member consumed liquid nitrogen and died. Authorities say that he was told how and where to obtain this deadly substance."

If you have a commercial location (they will not deliver residential) you can setup an account with one of the retailers like praxiar and get a better price. In Seattle with an account you can get 180L for around $125, otherwise you pay $3 per litre and have to pick it up on your own with a DOT approved dewar in the back of a pickup or similar. They don't let you take it in cars, at least not here.

Maybe, the idea is they don't want it inside the passenger compartment sharing the same air space, I guess they don't want you becoming asphyixiated while driving. They are very strict here, we've seen lot's of pics of guys with it riding shotgun in a coupe but that's not happening here in Seattle. I can open a window you know

I'd check eBay, there's usually a few on there to look at.

If people are having trouble finding it in Ireland BOC gas seems to be the best place. It's €90 per month for 200L tank rental + filling. For dry ICE Munster CO2 is 1.50 per kg very easy to deal with and collect. I see a lot of noobs here over 18 too. You're all way too old

Age has nothing to do with being a noob..........intellagance does,.....guys come here to learn ,but if you haven't developed the ability to research the regulations in handling LN2 and finding a place to purchase it,I'm afraid your going to be a noob a while longer , until you do.

Its NOT about keeping secretes, but since almost everyone is anonymous and their profile is made-up or exaggerated by quit a few,we can only judge your ability, by how intelligent your questions are .

PS: This site is full of info if you read more than todays posts. read stickies and threads in area of interest.

Try searching on Ebay for "dewar".... as obvious as that is You should come up with at least a whole page of them. I just bought a 31 litre in excellent condition for $116 shipped

its getting pretty close to summer now, and its nearly 90 degrees here in massachusetts.
are there any uses for LN2 for cooling a room? (putting it in front of a fan, etc?)

Not really. It would be way too expensive and most of all very dangerous.

Get a good A/C system and you will love it! It will save you so much time, effort and money.

do as Brett said,Buy a AC unit for 100.00 boiling off enough to cool a closed room can cause asphyxiation and be cost prohibitive because it will displace oxygen, you first pass out then if o2 gets low enough your dead, or a vegetable.

read top paragraph of section 3 "hazard identification" first page, may have to scroll down
