    VTT on IC7-G Max2?

Is it the same design as on the max3? I'm wondering if the ocz voltage booster will work with it or not.

The ocz booster should work fine on most ddr motherboards.

it has been said by ocz themselfs that it doesn't work with the max3 due to the low vtt on the board. In other words it would still require the vtt mod. I pm'd andy from ocz and he said he wasn't sure about the max2. if it had the same vtt layout as the max3 it wouldn't work as well.

VDimm mods on IC7, and Max2 require vtt fix. I'm sure you'll want it if you are using the booster.

It will work, but you'll need to do a VTT mod on your own in order for it to be actually effective.

Cutting the trace is the "tricky" part...

Just follow either Hipro5's guide or Catch22APlay's guide.

    I followed Catch22's guide & haven't looked back since.

Now happily playing with 1.7vtt ...

Put it this way, even I could cut the trace... The trick part for me is the soldering, I am very shaky....

Just a bummer that there are boards out there that b\neet to be modded anyways to use the OCZ Vdimm Booster...
