    You overclock too much when...

    1. You fiddle about with Prometia Seal String with your fingers (guilty )
    2. You have more computers than friends (not guilty)
    3. Your favorite TV show invloves plugging ur pc into ur TV and watching the progressof your folding at home client. (not guilty)
    4. When you use your pc as a utility for cooking (the cpu or gpu), light source (fans and cathodes and screens), a heat source and several other things.
    5. When you can actually fry an egg with ur cpu.

Please add to the list and I will compile it as a list and put it on my site.

First let's see if I overclock too much:
    1. I don't have a prommie
    2. I only have 1 computer, and it's not entirely mine either
    3. Oh hell no
    4.
    - cooking - nope
    - light source - that's more modding than overclocking
    - heat source - any PC is a heat source
    - several other things - ehm... I guess so
    5. I remember reading an article about an egg fried on a Duron 750Mhz, so it doesn't make you a sick overclocker.
Never fried an egg on my CPU though, I can't afford losing it (not the egg )

Now let's see what I can come up with:

    6. Your only thought when you see a soldering iron is: "Damn, reminds me of my mobo" <- guilty
    7. Your PC is faster than all of your friends' PCs put together, at 1/3rd the price <- guilty
    8. A friend of yours wants to buy some new hardware and you automatically recommend him the best stuff for overclockers <- guilty (a friend of mine asked me what CPU he should get, automated reply: Mobile AthlonXP)
    9. Your PC drains more power than all of the appliances in the kitchen* <- guilty
*does not apply for Prescott users
    10. Your CPU is colder than your beer <- not guilty YET

(damn, these suck, but I'm not really creative ATM)
EDIT: Make sure to show us the complete list when you are done with it

2.you talk to your system and beg it to please oc higher
3.you complain about good weather and look forward to freezing winter nights
4.you date a girl to watch a dvd and end up ocing her machine

I know guys, but this isn't meant to be realistic anyway. You know that you overclock too much when you kill the thing you're overclocking, simple as that

You know you oc too much when you're desperatly trying to melt a half inch of ice off your bedroom window at 5:42am using an industrial heatgun so you can actually CLOSE your windows before you go to school for the day...

You know you oc too much when the thermometer in your window reads -25 and you shout for joy.

You know you oc too much when you're complaining about a 2.4c@3.2 being too slow...

    1. You fiddle about with Prometia Seal String with your fingers.
    No
    2. You have more computers than you have friends.
    Good friends?
    3. Your favorite TV show invloves plugging ur pc into ur TV and watching the progress of your folding@home client.
    No
    4. When you use your pc as a utility for cooking (the cpu or gpu), light source (fans and cathodes and screens), a heat source and several other things.
I use it as a heater in winter. My room's rarely below 75*F even in below freezing temps with register closed and window open.
    5. When you can actually fry an egg with your cpu.
    No
    6. Your only thought when you see a soldering iron is: "Damn, reminds me of my mobo".
I think, Goddamn I need a better soldering iron to use on my mobo.
    7. Your PC is faster than all of your friends' PCs put together, at 1/3rd the price.
No, About twice as fast as any one of theirs though, at about 1/3 the price... but then again, I upgrade parts every month of so... so you can't really compair what I paid with what they paid.
    8. A friend of yours wants to buy some new hardware and you automatically recommend him the best stuff for overclockers.
    Yes
    9. Your PC drains more power than all of the appliances in the kitchen.
    No
    10. Your CPU is colder than your beer.
    God no.
    11. Lubricant makes you think about dielectric grease and t.e.c's.
    Umm... no.
    12. You talk to your system and beg it to please oc higher.
    I threaten it.
    13. You complain about good weather and look forward to freezing winter nights.
    Yes
    14. You date a girl to watch a dvd and end up ocing her machine.
What is this "Girl" of which you speak?
    15. You use the ac unit to cool your case though the roomtemp is close to 40°C and your dying from heat.
I turn on my ac when my comp is running hot. If Im running stock, I'll sit in 100*F and not complain.
    16. You open your dvd player/xbox/gamecube looking for a pll.
Tried it once on my dvd player.
    17. When you have written a song about overclocking.
    No
    18. When you search the net for a Clock-Gen T-Shirt.
    Not yet.
    19. When you have Clock-Gen in your start-up folder.
No, it's one of the few things on my desktop though.
    20. When you have a Intel/AMD poster in your room.
    They are too damn ugly
    21. When you have killed more than 2 cpu's by overclocking.
No cpu's that I can remember.
    22. When you try to program a custom bios which sets minimum fsb as 250.
    No
    23. When you try and overclock a console (xbox/ps2).
I've considered it, but never attempted.

Here is one.. well this is what I was thinking today while programming a router.

when you see the cpu speed of 260mhz on a cisco 3725 router and instantly think... I bet it will do 360mhz easily.

Your friend wants to buy something to eat and you can recommend him something else, just because you can "tweak" it and get the same 'performance" for less money (happened to me yesterday )

1.) You long for rain/snow/cold weather as it is will let you clock higher.
2.) You start overclocking your DVD burner

    No
    26. you have tryed to volt mod your fans
Does 12v'ing a 24v fan count? What about rheostat'ing? I haven't done any internal electrical work on a fan.
    27. you have heatsinks on every chip on your mobo
I came damn close on my old nf7-s
    28. you wear arctic silver nail varnish
    Only under my nails
    29. you have modded your xbox for better cooling
    Dont own one
    30. you starved yourself for a month to save up for a new GFX Card
    Yep
    31. your heatsink has your fingerprint burnt on to it
Never heard of that happening before... discoloration from the acids and oils on your finger maybe, not burnt.
    32. your heatsink has your cpu stepping burnt on to it
    Imprinted, not burnt.
    33. you tried to overclock a hamster.

Are you nuts? -35C is WAY TOO HOT for a CPU.

    Needs -40C and below

same here dude... who needs breakfast or lunch? or clothes?

if only there were cheap dates that didn't make you seem cheap...
I used to have links here demonstrating how awesome I am, but it's been so long that they're not very relevant (and the pictures have disappeared), so I guess I'll have to get working on new stuff.
