You don't need to disassemble to find the pack date. It's on the side of the retail carton on the white sticker with all the identifying data.

Mine came in a white box with the standard pack date and excetera sticker on it. The ES chips come in retail boxes now? I still probably won't be getting another one, I'm hoping for a 90NM 939 chip.
For those of you about to post:

No...I'm not talking about ES chips. I'm letting masterofpuppets know that he can find his info that way (he has a retail 3.4EE).

My 2.4C is the same way, max vcore I can run through it is 1.575 in abit bios. This is across 2 abit boards, less stable in Asus due to asus overvolting. And not heat b/c acts same way in prometia cooled system as aircooled. After 1.575 I lose oc. Good news is on air it does like 3.5ghz
    it's never fast enough!

    I'm happy with mine:

Sitting happily at 1066 MHz. The CPU is rock solid at this speed and it'll probably go faster. But why screw up a good thing...a nice round 1066 MHz FSB, PCI-X and a high clock speed...on a retail 3.06 MHz HSF.

This board kinda sucks for FSB, but the northbridge cooler is the likely culprit. At least my Vcore is 100% constant, regardless of CPU load...which is the most important thing, I think.

    FPO/BATCH #: 3351A756
    PACK DATE: 04/21/04

I think they are the most important codes.
