    *UPDATE PLS HELP*

m going to try out water cooling since i'm sick of the sound from my case fans. Right now i'm running an overclocked p4 cooled by an slk-947U w/92mm Tornado on a fan controler. I'd like to buy this case http://www.thermaltake.com/xaserCase...mi/bwa/bwa.htm, and use possible remove the lower cage to put the rad. My current case is cooled by 4 80mm case fans, the tornado, and the 2 power supply fans. What kinda setup would you recommend to give at least equivalent cooling, and bring the noise down? I'm planning to use blocks for the cpu, vga, and possibly chipset. Dunno if I should use 1 120mm on the rad or 2. Would cutting a hole for a 120mm on top hurt me very much for noise? The 2 120mm, and 1 92mm fans that are included with the case are rated at 21dba ea.

two basic rad placements. on top or the front. front can hold one 120mm rad, top can fit a dual (sacrafice top optical bays.) either way you can get pretty quiet fans and have good performance. Blocks and pump are up to you, but you can't go wrong with dangerden, dtek, swiftec, etc

Do some reading and see what you like.

I'm looking at this for a system...

    DD RBX
    DD maze 4 vga
Dtek Pro Core (blue) mounted on the bottem intake with 2 120mm fans in a push/pull setup
    Hydor L30 or L35
    Bay Res
    UV reactive tubing

    What do you think?

Oh and on my IC7-G north bridge I already have a zalman heatsink w/stock fan like in the article here...

i would recommand you get the swiftech mcp 600 pump. also for your water block i would either go with the danger den tdx one or the new polarflo ones.

I can get the tdx but not the swiftech pump. the place i'm buying from only carries DD stuff, so my only options are the hydor series and the DD pump.

that setup will work fine If you're not a clumbsy person get the RBX over the TDX, slightly better cooling but more mounting issues. for a pump you can get the diang d4 if you're not a quiet freak. supposedly it performs better than the swiftec (from a review). then you can shop all at dangerden.com

i've read the uv tubing is great stuff, and so is the res, but unnecessary. can't go wrong with that stuff. just start modding

no real mounting issues with an RBX on chips with a heatspreader like his P4...

Ok here's where i'm at now....

I"m still planing on getting the TT case (http://www.thermaltake.com/xaserCas...ami/bwa/bwa.htm), but need some help achieving what I want outta it. I'm running a 2.8E now that is running around 3.4-3.5 air cooled, and I think it will go higher. I'm totally sick of hearing all my case fans and the 92mm tornado (even at slower speed). I'd like to get my system semi-quiet and possibly further my overclocks.

I'll list the parts i'm considering for the kit and please remember that I can't get stuff that isn't listed due to being fairly isolaterd. For the different component chioces i'll list where I plan on putting them.

RAD: (BIX- Blue / D-Tek Pro-120 Blue) The rad placement is one of the hardest things to decide for me considering that case. My first choice is removing the lower drive cage and using the 120mm intake to mount the rad. This would involve me moving my hd's up with adapters, but oh well. The second choice can actually be one of two things. I was thinking of cutting a 120mm fan hole on the top of the case where the control panel is. Now I haven't seen the case physically so i'm not sure if it's in the right position. Either I can mount the rad up there if there was room, or just use it for an exhaust fan.

PUMP: (DD 12V / Swiftech 12V) The DD would be my first choice because i'd have to buy the swifty from somewhere else and would prefur to buy it all together. I would like to fit the pump right between the mobo and rad (if it's mounted on the bottom), towards the rear of the case.

BLOCKS: (CPU- RBX/TDX/6002 VGA- Maze4 NB- Maze4-chipset) As above I would rather get the DD blocks because of where I was buying them, but also because I would like to have all the same ones together. I don't really like the vga/chipset blocks from swiftech so that would really be the last choice. I know the chipset block doesn't really do much for overclocking I hear. I just was considering it to remove another fan making noise. If it will hamper my florate too much I would change my mind.

FANS: (120mm Aluminum/120mm Enermax Adjs and same for my 92mm window fan) I like the aluminum fans overall cfm/noise ratio, and looks as my first choice. Is there any others you would say. Do you think the window is strong enough to hold the 92mm alum fan? Seeing as how I want it quiet, should I lose the plan on the 120mm up top? I'm using 4 80mm case fans, 2 80mm ps, and my 92mm tornado now. Should I use 2 fans on the rad w/shrouds in a push/pull, or would 1 w/shroud be good enough?

POWER SUPPLY: (PCPC 510 Dlx Modular/ Antec Truecontrol 550 Modular) I'm going to get the ps from performancepcs all sleaved and with uv molex's. The Antec is cheaper, but hear they are good power supply's.

I plan on using UV stuff in a bunch of area's like ccfl's, hose fittings, 120mm shroud, tubing (maybe), with a differnet color as the tubing so my bay-res (already have) shines up different.

Thanks for taking the time to read this....I really appreciate it .
